๐ Meet Eric Whitelaw: Co-Head at Helios Media! ๐
Eric W. Whitelaw is an Edinburgh-based filmmaker, performer, and co-founder of Helios Media. He began his career in the arts as a performer, studying at the Performing Arts Studio of Scotland in Edinburgh. Over time, Eric shifted his focus from performing to film, which deepened his passion not only for the work behind the lens but also for the stories portrayed on screen.
Initially, Eric started by filming promotional videos for theatre, leveraging his extensive contacts in the performing arts industry in Scotland. This led him to explore writing and directing short films. His past credits include Piano Man (2023), Kroler (2024), and Lost Love (2024).
Eric's primary focus when filming is to tell compelling stories and convey the emotions of the moments he captures. He believes that preserving not only visual memories but also the feelings associated with them is essential. Whether showcasing a theatre project, celebrating a wedding, or highlighting a business, Eric is driven by the belief that where there are people, there are stories waiting to be told.
