Self tape hints and tips.

We get a lot of requests for self tapes so heres some handy hints and tips.

Always film in LANDSCAPE unless told otherwise
Clear backgrounds with no clutter to draw focus
Good lighting
Always do a Slate (an introdcution) name, age, agency and location.
Read all listed and follow all instructions
try and learn the lines where possible.
do not direct lines to the camera unless told otherwise.

DO NOT BE LATE SUBMITTING!! Sometimes these links are direct to casting sometimes to the agency but never miss the deadline as its there for a reason.

Emailing - no photos or videos

We love the enthusiasm on getting signed up to CKA. We are excited to open our books in May but do ask if you do email please do not send any videos of photos of your youngsters.

We take child protection very seriously and will send out links if we ever request photos or videos as these are secure and locked and such a safer way to obtain these things.

Chaperones Scotland!

Did you know here at CKA we also hire out chaperones.

Our professionally trained chaperones keep with with all the current training, guidelines and license/council changes.

It’s the chaperones duty to keep all youngsters safe on set and to insure they are having the best time.

We at CKA do not take commission from our Chaperones as it is set out in the guidelines form the government and we feel they do such an amazing job why not earn the full amount.

We at CKA have a great system that allows you to login at any time and update your youngsters profile.

We have this as we know youngsters grow and change. Please login and update measurements when you can.

Also note that not all measurements will be related to your youngster.

Bookings!

Here at CKA when your youngster is booked we will send you a booking email to confirm all.

There will then be another email about licenses and what is needed so always be ready for multiple emails.

We will also share bookings and client success on our socials. Please feel free to like, share and tag as it’s free publicity for you and us.

Recalls are an important part of casting as it shows they are interested in seeing more of your youngster.

They also can be to test how they look with other cast members and is an important part of castings.

We are so glad to have had 4 recalls already this month and we are only in January.
