Over the years, I’ve earned the nickname ‘The Dog Whisperer’ because I treat every animal like my own, tailoring their care with love, attention, and fun activities to keep them happy and fulfilled. Having had pets my whole life, I bring both professional expertise and personal experience in dog behaviour and body language, ensuring each pup feels comfortable, secure, and understood. It's that time of year again...

Many shops and supermarkets have stocked up on festive rawhide treats and stockings. THESE SHOULD NOT BE FED TO YOUR DOG.

Many of us are confused and outraged that these are still being made and sold. However, there are lots of dog owners out there who may not be aware of the dangers of rawhide- we need to do our best to educate them.

✋ Rawhide production is generally far from what you would call 'natural'. In many cases, the final product has been subjected to all sorts of potentially harmful chemicals, such as bleach or hydrogen peroxide
✋If your dog swallows large pieces of rawhide, they can get stuck in the esophagus or lower in the digestive tract. In some cases, rawhide obstructions require emergency abdominal surgery to remove the blockage and if it doesn't come in time, dogs can die.
