Thanks to Dr Ralitsa Hiteva at Sussex University and Kirsten Firth from Brighton & Hove City Council for contributing to this short film, illustrating the work needed to get to Net Zero by 2030. This project is a case study for Sussex University IAA ESRC, showcasing the work being done by researchers in Social Science in collaboration with businesses across the region.

We are proud to showcase this mini documentary about the work of the local faith groups and mutual aid groups across the city during the Covid-19 crisis. This short documentary was commissioned by the Interfaith Contact Group, with participation from the local police and the Council. LATEST SHOWCASE: Food and Friendship, partnered with Hove Methodist Church, organise a weekly lunch club for local isolated elderly and people with learning difficulties. During this COVID-19 crisis rather than shut down they have adapted and now deliver lunches to their community, with lots of help from Fare Share, the church and community volunteers and donations. LATEST RELEASE: During the lockdown we are working with Brighton Unitarian Church to broadcast live on Facebook every Sunday morning. This brings a sense of peace and connection to the community who can share their thoughts in the comments and "see" each other.
We are also working with other faiths and the council on similar projects. Keep well everyone.

Latest Showcase: I am delighted to share this mini-documentary about the Tree of Life, commissioned by the Interfaith Contact Group of Brighton & Hove. Each year they choose a theme to work with local groups, and last year it was the Tree of Life. This short film explores the theme through faith and the environment.

I am delighted to showcase this short film about Brighton and Sussex Medical School's latest programme called Time for Autism. Medical Students will be given the opportunity to visit families with primary school age children on the autism spectrum, helping them to understand the needs of the whole family, so when they are doctors they can adjust their care and practise.

During Ramadan the Islamic Community in Brighton & Hove, led by the Dialogue Society, bring together people from different organisations to break their fast at sundown, to share food and conversation. The Dialogue Society initiate many opportunities for diverse groups of people to come together to get to know each other, and this dinner at the Grand Hotel in Brighton is just one of their annual events. We are very proud to present this short film capturing the evening.

In support of Dementia Action Week I'd like to share a short film I made way back in 2015, as the movement to bring music into healthcare settings began. These music sessions are still bringing joy once a week in the Emerald Unit at the County Hospital and Wishing Well Music in Healthcare are now delivering music sessions in hospitals across Sussex.

Sat 4th May Brighton Museum will be opening it's doors for a free day exploring the healing powers of music. Westcreative will be there premiering a short documentary about a local NHS study into the effectiveness of music for people living with dementia.
