Thank you for your support in 2025 ⭐ Here’s to an amazing 2026

2025 has been a mix of joy, pride, tough lessons, and just cracking on.

As well as working full time as a New Business Manager and running McLean Magic Media, I got back on stage performing again — an absolute joy — and I plan on finding more parts to play 🎭

I also watched my daughter graduate, a moment I’ll never forget.

And I’ve learned just how cruel Alzheimer’s is — stealing pieces of someone you love while they’re still right there.

What I haven’t finished is my book, The Face in the Button Box! It is still in progress. Turns out life doesn’t care how good your planner is. However I’ve collected lots more material for it so that’s my plan for 2026!

I’ve met some amazing people in person, chatted to hundreds more, and I’ve no idea where all my networking will lead — but I can feel change coming, and that excites me.

JUST A NOTE ❤️

As a social media content creator, I know this much: social media isn’t always a true reflection of our real life. If someone looks like they’ve got it all together, they probably don’t. We are all just winging and often use it as an escape from real life — I’ve certainly earned my gold star ⭐

So, in 2026, meet with people in person, tell the people you love that they matter and, most importantly don’t put up with anything that doesn’t feel right! I’m certainly taking no prisoners !!

This has been a hard year for many of us.

If this time of year feels heavy, please give yourself permission to slow down and look after yourself.

Christmas doesn’t have to look or feel a certain way — getting through in whatever way you can is more than enough.

Spread love where you can, and remember there are others who may be facing some of the hardest moments of their lives right now. A small kindness, a message, or a little patience can mean more than we realise.

Be gentle with yourself, and with each other.

Sending a big, gentle hug to anyone who needs one. You’re not alone.

McLean Magic Media has been working with OurDunbar to promote “Dunbar says NO to parking charges” for the last few months. Keep the momentum going by liking, sharing and commenting on our posts but, more importantly, remember to have your say. Post cards out and about around the town which can be handed back into Flux on the High Street. Keep fighting with us !!

🚫 DUNBAR SAYS NO TO PARKING CHARGES 🚫

On Tuesday 9th December, East Lothian Councillors will vote on whether to introduce parking charges and residents’ permits across Dunbar’s town centre.

This could include:
• Paid parking on town centre streets
• Charges in local car parks
• Residents’ permit zones across a large area of the town centre

📅 Revised proposals will be published on 2nd December, giving our community just one week to read them before the vote.

Both Dunbar Community Council and Dunbar Trades’ Association remain firmly opposed to any charges or permits in Dunbar, believing they will:
💔 Damage local businesses
💸 Unfairly impact town centre residents
🚫 Make everyday life harder for families, workers, and visitors

Now is the time to speak up.
