The Runway Run at Aberdeen International Airport will open for entries this week.

The event, now in its fifth year, is scheduled to take place on June 22 at the CHC Helicopter terminal.

Once again, CHC Helicopters and Aberdeen International Airport are joining forces to organise this extraordinary event. In 2023, the runway was lit up as nearly 400 participants dashed through the night, and this year, the event aims to accommodate even more participants.

Tickets for the event will go on sale this Thursday, April 11, at 6pm with organisers encouraging eager runners to secure their spots early.

Participants will have the opportunity to run 4km course, with proceeds benefiting Aberdeen International Airport's chosen charity AberNecessities, as well as CHC Helicopters' selected charity, yet to be announced.

Times will be recorded using chip technology for each individual runner. Tickets are priced at £25, with a sponsorship target of £100 per participant.

Runners of all abilities are welcome to participate, and tickets can be purchased from the official Runway Run website starting at 1800 on Thursday, April 11, at www.aberdeenrunwayrun.co.uk

The owner had told Leon - ‘I’ll give you to the end of January'. That was a month ago, but then he phoned back two days ago and says, ‘I’ve changed my mind’.
“I was like, ‘Nice one mate, one week before Christmas. You could have just waited till after Christmas to tell me’.”

Leon Grant said emails and letters to Aberdeen City Council went unanswered. The local authority was asked to comment on his criticisms but they have failed to respond.

Santa is coming to town!

Santa is coming to town!

Are you ready?
Santa is going to be in Stoneywood on Wednesday 13th and in Dyce on Thursday 14th. We start at 6.00pm each night and finish around 8.15pm. All visits are subject to weather! Expect some surprises as we may have some special guests joining us this year.😉
Santa will be happy to have photos taken with anyone, young or old, but we have a tight time schedule so please be ready - booted and suited. We have a fantastic squad of volunteer elves happy to collect donations with every penny raised going to local charities. Listen for the bell, music and knocks on your door.

On 13th we will begin at Stoneywood Brae and head North to Beech Manor, Polo Park, Hyde Park, Cedar Avenue and back via Petrie Way covering all streets on the way. If time allows we will visit the Burnside area of Dyce.

On 14th we start at Pitmedden Drive, Avenue and Mews. Then we head to Mcintosh Cresent and cover the surrounding streets before arriving at Berrywell Gardens, Berrywell Road, Fergus Place finishing at the top of Liddell Place.
We will be out again on 20th and 21st December so watch out for more info next week.

Anyone able to help out Santa?? 🎅🏼

Anyone able to help out Santa?? 🎅🏼

Fantastic news. Santa has just been on from his office in Lapland. The wonderful people of Dyce have come to his rescue and he thinks he now has just about enough elves to help him visit Dyce and Stoneywood next month😁🎅🏻.
If anyone is still interested please contact us as sometimes many offers are for the same night so we are still working through our options.
THANKS ALL!
