EPISODE UPDATE

In true City form we’ve been hit with an injury crisis and won’t get an episode out this week.

Plenty of talking points off the back of a battling performance on the pitch, pantomime deflective performance on the side of the pitch and a massive fixture in the Brandywell tomorrow. Add to that the stand that was being built off site now being started to be built onsite? Sure that’s probably Brexit too.

We’ll be back next week to chat all about it. 🇵🇪

Colum Eastwood your campaign was all about delivering for Derry, how about lobbying for us to get our 1/3 built stadium sorted never mind Belfast getting another.

Positive meeting with Labour Prime Minister Keir Starmer this morning. A welcome and total change from the last administration.

We spoke about the urgent need to front load investment in the health service to get people off waiting lists and into treatment. We talked about scrapping the Legacy Act, jump starting public services and building Casement Park for Ulster Gaels.

And we raised the urgent need to recognise the State of Palestine as a first step toward peace in the region. At Westminster I’ll also be pushing for an end to the sale of weapons and components to Israel.

A good opening engagement with the new administration. As always, my priority will be fighting for Derry and communities across the North.

New stand at the Brandywell is under threat!

Remember the excitement of the release of the images of how our Brandywell Stadium was getting upgraded to include a new stand at the Brandywell Road end?

Well we’re hearing there’s been cold water poured on it!

Here’s the craic…
An objection has been lodged against the stand, potentially blocking it from going ahead.
The objection comes from NI Water
A company we all pay for, subsidised by Dfi (department for infrastructure)

How do we overcome this obstacle?
