I've been around my local area this morning indulging in the local scenery & history, strolling along some of the trails which are right on my doorstep from the Silver Hill Trail to the Five Pits Trail.

I did not do the full length of the Five Pits as it quite a lengthy trail which leads to numerous locations, from the likes of going all the way to Chesterfield or to the beautiful Elizabethan country house of Hardwick Hall which was created by the late Bess of Hardwick, which is now operated & run by the National Trust.

I've also walked down to some of the local thatched cottages near by to me & Newton Old Hall which is now owned privately.

Hope you enjoy viewing the photos of local places to myself.

Thank you in advance! ๐Ÿ˜Š

A nice new read for myself, obtained it from WHS-Smiths as they have a closing down sale, another high street store leaving our already barren towns.

But anyway...

So far I've had a quick flick through some pages, some great information regarding hiking very informative, but it's also got hiking routes & recommendations from all across the globe, theirs also some fantastic coastal hikes within the United Kingdom that have taken my interest.

Does anyone else enjoy delving into books & having a good read?

I don't normally share things I've not created but my heart goes out to there familys...

Just remember to always take caution even here within the United Kingdom, no one is completely safe when out hiking things can take a turn so quickly, mother nature has her ways & no matter how much of a seasoned hiker you may be the elements can sometimes be extremely dangerous and unforgiving.

Please always take into account the weather, the terrain you're choosing to hike upon & if your unsure turn back theres always another day.

Going to get myself back into the peaks at some point during this month, but just thought I'd update you all on my current situation.

So right now I've had toothache on & off since just before Christmas had to dial 111 numerous times... which led me to go into an emergency dentist just for them to put me on antibiotics & a crap ton of oral morph to then tell me they cannot remove a wisdom tooth, so they referred me to a specialist which I'm still currently waiting on, hopfully to be seen this week or next as they keep postponing it so theres that, as well as I'm just getting on with my last few driving lessons because I'm soon to have my practical test towards the end of the month finally yay!

But other than that I'm just planning & looking at my organising my next hike with a few fellow hikers so please bare in mind that behind closed doors we all have our own troubles to deal with but I cannot wait to get back out doing what I enjoy & bringing it to your screens and fingers tips.

So a huge thank you to you all for being so supportive & I just wanted to keep you all updated to why things have not been so productive on my page the past few weeks & why I've not been myself to get out hiking.

On that note... here's a pretty epic photo of the trinnacle, which I'd recommened to most of you who enjoy something not to challenging but at the same time rewarding.

This hike i had the pleasure of meeting Hiking Nana for the first time & what a memorable hike it was!

Anyway all the best to you all & hope you enjoy what's to come...

Within 2024 what was one of your most facinating wildlife spottings?

Mine was of a female Adder which can be fount up & down the whole of the United Kingdom, it is the only venomous snake which can be fount out on trails, our national parks & sometimes even on your back garden which is usually rare.

As many of you may know Adders are part of the viper family.

Please be cautious when finding or spotting one of these snakes.

Thank you for reading the above!

One of my favourite views from 2024...

Just before reaching the summit of the Old Man Of Coniston, I was greeted by so many fantastic views but this one just hit me that little bit differently, just for the pure fact I got to look back on were I had originally started this highly rated circular.

Starting from the village of Coniston I got to look down on Coniston waters & pretty much were I had started, I can't wait to get back here this year, I think I'll be spending alot more time within the Lake District within 2025.

But first things first Scotland inbound & getting my legs moving back in the peak district.

What do you have planned this year for hiking, travelling?

If you'd like to join me on any future hikes or want to get involved in hiking but your not totally sure on how to get into it, please feel free to directly message me or email me.

Here's to 2025! ๐Ÿžโ›ฐ๏ธ

You just cannot beat Chrome Hill & Dragons Back in the winter & spring months espcially because of the more frequent cloud inversions & the atmosphere surrounding this facinating limestone reef knoll, it's hard to have a favourite location when it comes to the peak district but certain hikes/ circulars definitely have the edge over other routes.

What are some of your go to routes you like returning too?

What a year its been we are almost at the end of 2024 & i just cannot fathom what a wholesome year of adventure its certainly been from creating some incredible friendships & bonds with the likes of Hiking Nana Billy Milan Andy Seeley Steve Sargent Philip Hydes & many more hikers & like minded individuals I've met along the way... but just wow the places I've seen & travelled just in 2024 alone from Scotland in January travelling through storm isha, the Lake district in May scaling the old man of coniston, plus almost completing the majority of the peak district... not forgetting the collaboration with Clair's of Derbyshire & letting me lead a walk around Asygarth falls & also taking on the Yorkshire 3 peak challenge which was a back breaker then finishing with a mega trip to snowdonia ascending Yr Wyddfa via the Watkins path with my good friend Billy Milan... ill now indulge in pigs in blankets, Christmas movies & spending quality time with mediate family.

So from my house to yours I wish you all a truly wonderful & amazing Christmas... i cannot wait to enter 2025 with you all, so watch this space for even more epic tales & adventures.

Coniston Range

How you can not be left in awe with such a majestic view, to then ascend such summit to have an even more spectacular view of where you came from to where you ended... that sense of accomplishment & freedom you just cannot get anywhere else.

What makes each of the UKs National parks different to one another & what makes them unique?

Comment below let's hear your thoughts?!

Dow Crag

Is pretty grueling looking if you stand below and look up from Goats water, the eastern face which looks down upon the waters is used quite often for rock climbing & you'll see them scaling the eastern side quite frequently.

Dow Crag is made up of Rhyolite & is recognised to have up to 100 different climbing routes for climbers, you can also hike upon top of the summit which can be reached by numerous routes by foot.

Upon reaching the summit their is no cairn or trig but there are some astonishing views from south to west of the summit, as the rest are dwindled by the Coniston range, on a good day you can see the likes of Scafell & Skiddaw, even potentially seeing northern Wales if the conditions that are required are met.

Overall another wonder fell, the Lake District is definitely on my radar in the upcoming year for alot more adventures.

Old Man Of Coniston

Another throwback photo looking back on 2024, what a weekend away in the Lake District it was, from ascending this beautiful wainwright to getting a ferry along lake windermere admiring the surroundings, definitely will be returning next year especially with me being able to drive i'll be all over the UK and cannot wait.

When I return to the Lakes where would you like to see me next Scafell Pike, Great Gable drop some recommendations.

Over the next few days I'll be reposting photos as well as exclusive photographs I've saved specifically to share with you all for a look back on the adventures I've gone and done this year, plus on top of it all every hike, trip away & adventures you've all joined me via supporting the page & community thank you.

2024 Highlights.

Looking back on the year as a whole & realising the amount of adventures I've had this year are unfathomable, just goes to show with a bit of commitment, staying motivated & having a real passion for something that you can clearly achieve personal goals & turn that passion into something you can share with others.

What a year its been just wow... I really have no words, all I can say is I hope you've all enjoyed the community here & everything I've posted along this journey with plenty more to come in 2025 & the years that unfold after that.

So I hope you all enjoy the throwback pictures & videos from this year as we look back on all that I've shared, the individuals I've met through the page, the hikes we've done & the sense of community here, not forgetting the endless comments & conversations I've had with you all here.

P.s theirs plenty more photos & videos to be released, i've also kept some throughout the year to be exclusive just for bonus content, so I hope you love looking at what I create & will continue to join me for many more years to come.

Thank you!!

Aysgarth Upper Falls

Have you visited this locations within The Yorkshire Dales?

Did you know theirs a scene of the falls within Kevin Costners Robin Hood when he fights little John? ๐Ÿนโš”๏ธ

It's also been a tourist attractions for just over 100 years how cool is that!? ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿฅพ

It's also suitable for family's & elderly, a merry day to be had by all.

What a place to visit, there's even a couple of hiking routes that include the falls which are well worth taking on if you enjoy that sort of thing of course.

Overall I'd definitely return here to see more of the surroundings & to definitely take on some more of the Yorkshire Dales peaks.

On other news I'm hoping to fit one maybe two hikes in before Christmas & before the years out if I don't get out though I'll certainly be hitting something up sooner then later.

So at the moment I'm spending the most of my time making plans for the new year, enjoying time with family & having a bit of reflection time for myself as this year has been well and truly full on with hiking, creating content & establishing my page that I've barely seen & made time for family, close friends & a bit of me time.

Soo I hope you enjoy the posts that I drop for the rest of the month looking back on 2024 through the lens of my camera.

Thank you everyone yet again for the continued support it's really means alot! ๐Ÿค—โœจ๏ธ
