With Metal detecting, you never quite know what will turn up next, Gold, silver, coins & artefacts, its all wonderful to see once again after so many centuries lost, however sometimes even base metal objects such as lead can be equally as interesting!
Take these two Viking lead weights found on the last two Team unearthed digs, were we detected the same farm twice,both came from opposite ends of the farm indicating that the area was busy back in the 9th-10th centuries.

Easter Sunday saw team unearthed back at it, a super Sunday it was for Phil Burrows, as he unearthed this lovely silver artefact, possibly a seal/stamp, lapel badge, (Not a cufflink) as its too big, a really interesting piece this, Georgian or possibly earlier, no stamps or hallmarks on it. Yet another incredible day for interesting finds!
