Cre8/ Studio is a private recording studio in Cwmbran which is now taking on select clients for music projects. The studio boasts a modern but homely vibe and houses the best in digital and analogue gear. We have 5 yorkshire terrier/ chihuahua cross dogs "chorkies" who love to bark at new friends, and an unlimited amount of herbal teas and coffee. We use Pro Tools as our main recording system, but
also Logic for VSTs. Mics include Shure, Neumann, Slate Digital and many many more. We have a fabulous selection of guitars and basses from Fender, Gibson, Epiphone etc. Hardware including top of the range Avid Carbon preamps, mic pre's such as the 1073's and LA2A and EQ1 for outboard. Guitar recording is well catered for with a selection of effects pedals, amps and cabs, and cutting edge A-D conversion via the app controlled Positive Grid Spark. You want to sound like Slash/ Nile Rodgers/ Eric Clapton? We got you covered. Bass is recorded via an Ampeg micro stack, or using the Sansamp RBI (or both!!). If you were feeling adventurous, you could go through the spark too! We use Focal as our main studio monitors, and Slate VSX for mixing and mastering. Drums are recorded via a Roland drum kit into Slate drums for the biggest and best choice of unbelievable sounding drums with none of the hassle of loud noises and microphone spill! If you are a solo singer/ songwriter then we can provide everything else you need to bring your track to it's full potential including all instrument parts, backing singers and also help to develop your song if you feel like you've hit a creative brick wall.
