We are really sorry to let you know that we’ve had to cancel Saturday’s outdoor pop-up food event (23 November) and Sunday’s Cross Market and More event (24 November) in Chichester city centre because strong winds, with gusts of up to 54mph, and heavy rain have been predicted for over the weekend. Like you, we are really disappointed about this, but people’s safety must come first.

The Chichester BID have also had to significantly alter their Chichester light switch on plans for Saturday – please see https://orlo.uk/chichesterbid_IrCLs for details. The ‘after party’ events that are being hosted by various venues across the city are still taking place. To support these, free parking at our Avenue de Chartres car park in Chichester will still be available from 4pm on Saturday 23 November. The Starlight Trail organised by our Novium Museum will also still be taking place on Saturday 23 November between 2-4.30pm: https://orlo.uk/starlighttrail_iFQI4

Thank you for your understanding and we’re really sorry for any inconvenience this causes. It’s worth checking out all of the other events that are planned for the festive season at: https://orlo.uk/countdown_to_christmas_rprE9 and https://orlo.uk/whatson_3wsi5

We’re disappointed to announce that we have had to cancel this Sunday’s Cross Market and More event because of strong winds and heavy rain that have been forecast for this weekend, including particularly high wind-gust speeds.

We’ve also had to cancel Saturday’s outdoor pop-up food event. The Chichester BID have also had to significantly alter their Chichester light switch on plans - please see their communications channels for details. The ‘after party’ events being hosted by several venues across the city will still be taking place. To support these, free parking at our Avenue de Chartres car park in Chichester will still be available from 4pm on Saturday 23 November.

These decisions are never taken lightly by the organisers but we must always put people’s safety first. Please keep checking our social media channels and also the Chichester BID page for updates and further information, as well as our online What’s On calendar: https://orlo.uk/chichesterdc_whats_on_VszcV Festive activities at The Novium Museum are unaffected. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes.
