Following the incident in the unit next to Chester Market on Wednesday evening further investigations are underway to clarify the cause of the gas explosion and the structural safety of the building. As a result Chester Market will remain closed today. Further updates will be provided once the investigations are concluded to allow the Market to reopen as soon as possible.

♻️ Planning a visit to your local recycling centre? From 1 April recycling centres will be changing to summer opening hours.

Recycling centres in Winsford, Ellesmere Port and Chester will be open from 8am-8pm and sites at Northwich, Neston, Frodsham and Tattenhall will be open from 9am-5pm.
