If anyone thinks politics is boring they should read this.

A harrowing and personal account of domestic abuse from one of our MP's. Massive kudos to Apsana Begum for sharing:

Who else remembers their Mum telling them to draw their curtains if they were going to have their window open and bedroom light on during those lovely mystical summer evenings of childhood?! If you didn't you would end up with a dozen moths in your bedroom which often required parental removal ๐Ÿ˜ฌIt just doesn't happen any more does it? V sad. Thanks go to Duncan Baker MP for the interesting input in the House of Commons yesterday.

Fiona Bruce, MP for Congleton spoke these words last month. They seem particularly prescient today.

Debates like this are thoughtful and interesting. A long way removed from the pantomime of PMQ's.

Ever wondered what our MP's talk about all day in Parliament?

Last month Foreign Affairs was the most debated topic.

Jim Shannon from the DUP was the biggest contributor.

No Labour MP's appear in the Top 10 (ranked by the number of words they contributed).

In fact the only opposition MP in the Top 10 is Wendy Chamberlain from the Lib Dems.

For anyone who's interested in current affairs, it's worth understanding more about who says what in the House of Commons. You get to see both sides of any argument, without any unintentional (or intentional) media spin or bias.
