The Big Welsh Rhyme Time will run from 7th-11th February and this year’s key message will be ‘Rhyming Fun for Everyone’ - Booktrust Cymru want to promote the message that rhyme is for people of all ages, genders and backgrounds. They are looking for different voices from Wales to help them create fun and engaging content that will encourage children to share and enjoy rhymes, poems and songs during Big Welsh Rhyme Time and beyond. The deadline for submissions is midday, 1st October.

To write characters your readers will connect with, you need to get to know them yourself! One easy way to do this is to draw them (you don't need to be the next Van Gogh!), and label them with characteristics that make them unique.
