You don’t have to ask anything of yourself just to turn up in all your gorgeousness and nourish your body and being through oils, massage and deep frequency healing in a warm room to cleanse and detox from the inside out 💫
Calm your mind & senses with mantra and mudra as you search within for answer you cannot find with-out. As I ensure your yoga is always first we approach this through 💫 Japa meditation 💫

Japa meditation in yoga entails chanting a mantra or a specific sound repeatedly to focus the mind and cultivate inner peace. There are various styles of Japa meditation that practitioners can explore to enhance their practice.

🙏🏻Vaikhari Japa.
🗣️This involves chanting the mantra audibly. The sound vibrations created by the vocal cords help to focus the mind and create a rhythmic pattern that can be very soothing. This method is often used by beginners as it is easier to maintain concentration with audible sounds.
🙏🏻Upamsu Japa
🌬️In this style, the mantra is whispered softly, just barely audible to the practitioner. This technique requires more focus than Vaikhari Japa, as the quieter sound demands greater attention. It is a bridge between the audible and silent practices, enhancing concentration and inner listening.

🙏🏻Manasika Japa
🧠Here, the mantra is chanted silently in the mind. This is considered a more advanced form of Japa meditation, as it requires a high level of mental discipline and concentration. It is incredibly effective for internalising the mantra and connecting deeply with one's inner self.
🙏🏻Likhita Japa
📝In this version, the practitioner writes the mantra repeatedly. This combination of physical and mental activity can be very grounding and is especially useful for those who find it difficult to sit still. The act of writing helps integrate the mantra into the subconscious mind.
🙏🏻Mala Japa
📿This involves using a mala, or a string of beads, to count the repetitions of the mantra. Each bead represents one repetition, and the mala typically contains 108 beads. The tactile sensation of moving the beads can help maintain focus and rhythm, making it easier to sustain the meditation.
By exploring these different forms of Japa meditation, practitioners can discover which methods resonate most with them, allowing for a more personalised and effective meditative experience.

It feels like yesterday 🥹
One reason because time is moving very quickly 🫥
But also the values & principles we hold at Anavrin still flow from the same place: Love.

Corny? 😅 hear me out.
It’s MHA week. And for the most part most of us struggle because we lack the connection to the small four letter word carrying a behemoth amount of meaning.
It doesn’t haven’t to be romanticals, we may have the wrong relationships we call friendships, we may not love our job, something about ourselves.
All of these and more can be improved. With Love. Self Love that is.
Our programming to only feel validated by being wanted, desired by another is cruel and unacceptable.
We do not feel beautiful if another rejects us based upon their programming. Of course we should feel aversion to people. That my friends is nature, biological anthropology. The circle of life of attracting a mate to populate the Earth.
If we lived in another part of the world from this westernised bombardment of how to look perfect, even now, how to have the most perfect menopausal journey 😤 in the name of commercialisation, we would love our big 🍑.
It’s all about Being You.

It’s tough. I know this. And believe me when I say this confidence has been hard won and I wouldn’t wish how I found my roots in self love on anyone.

However, we are all afforded lessons to break free, unfortunately we have been reverse engineered to see these times as reasons to believe me are not worthy of the love we give away, there is something wrong with us that’s why we don’t fit in, look good enough. People pleasing becomes a base line to be accepted only to make us feel worse because deep down we know it’s being fake wanted.

I haven’t watched the news, tv especially with adverts for a loooooong time. The agenda driven method to influence how you feel is very clever. From charities with footage to break your soul over breakfast when you’re most suggestible when setting the tone for the day ahead to selling credit cards right after ‘LOOK AT THE AMAZING HOLIDAY YOU’RE NOT ON’ ad to get this pre packed 250calorie meal delivered to you door right before models selling ♥️ on a perfume ad or clothes designed to suit a body type only available in a catalogue you can access at your fingertips tips and pay off over the next 3 years.

Once you see the pattern you can’t unsee it.

🌸 Detox your viewing:
Newsfeed, tv viewing, where you spend your time
🌸 Trust how you feel:
January is the worst time to begin a new exercise regime, feel good programme, start that stuff in May/June and carry it through the winter.
🌸 Who are you?
Get to know you, a best friend. Speak to yourself as you would someone you love Find the self lov. It’s not corny. It’s essential. Reset those programmed parameters and set flexible ones to evolve as you do.

Our mental health is our most precious commodity. When this is in order the rest falls into place. So as much as you’ll hear about this week, told to ‘Bet or drink sensibly’ it’s all just there so you feel like a sack of 💩 without even realising it.
Being body positive doesn’t mean you have to love all your curves or be told you’re super lucky you’re ‘skinny’. How we feel about how we look is a very personal journey manipulated by the external world.

I am 13st 7.
I love my body the same as I do at 8stone. I laugh, sing and dance the same. I have fabulous b👀bies, bouncy 🍑 and a love of life.
Why?
Because I’m thankful. I stay away from the advertisements, I don’t care how anyone else look, I don’t want to fit in.
Don’t do anything because I say it’s good for me. Voices out there will call out it’s unhealthy to actively put on weight, to promote who I am. They will regurgitate knowledge, facts through their lens of existence but ultimately I don’t give an ounce of f👅ck for any of it.
That’s an awesome sauce mindset too 😘
I choose to feel good over battling what is only the words of others inside your head when you allow yourself to negatively judge your soul.
Is this easy?
Well it wasn’t. I used to hate myself. Yes hate.
Felt unloved, unwanted…I was unaware.
Unaware none of this mattered and as long as I strived to be what was acceptable I would remain unaccepted.
Unaccepted by myself, the only one who actually decides what to love and be loved means.

I accept myself. I’m not always kind to myself but now I will have a ‘management meeting’ to discuss grievances and get proactive instead of reactive.
The past 4 years to note up to today:
-Motherhood
-Being a wife
-Grief
-Loss
-Restarting in business
-Menopause
-Break down & Build back up
-Physical & emotional changes

I’ve never hidden anything from the light. I’m a real person.
I share with you so you can hopefully find a way to love yourself too. My faith & yoga are my healers. Yogasana simply restorative, meditation, scripture - yin and calm. I’ve tended most to my mental health: Ahimsa, Santosha.

In keeping with going where I flow, I’m beginning to change once again. Not all my ducks are in a row, but they are enough that I can start opening my mind once again to focusing on more than just being in this self preservation space.
I’m trusting the journey with moving back into a more constructive Ayurvedic lifestyle, my yogasana actively venturing back to my natural state of Yang, vinyasa. I’m still working on the wanting to be outside, the anxiety is still very powerful but here I am taking it step by step.
I’ve tried taking the step forward into now a few times but to no avail, but this time the urge is strong, definitely the best way to evolve instead of trying to live by a plan of expectation.
Will I lose weight?
Of course, I’m moving more, eating as per my faith & yoga.
Life isn’t about living perfectly, it’s about living your best life…
And that will look different in every day.

Some days it could be 12 mile hikes others it’s staying in bed.
As long as you’re kind to you, that’s all the body positivity you’ll ever need.
Be kind to you.

Observe for a week or so what you see and hear from tv, media. Look for silent the conversations being had between you and the ads, the narratives. Let that lightbulb 💡 moment happen.
Never fall folly to the nonsense again.
