A NEW COFFEE BLOG…we visited our friends at Mit Milch Coffee in Hythe where we tried some amazing coffee from Pharmacie Coffee Roasters! The blog features 35mm film photos.
This series marries Kamila’s love of both coffee and 35mm photography and we hope that you enjoy discovering these hidden gem coffee spots.

Our friends over at Fella/Fella Folkestone are reopening their doors tomorrow so it felt like a good time to share this little lockdown creation we made. It's the story of one of our first shoots with Fella. We travelled all around Kent taking photos at some amazing iconic locations.We still have such fond memories of it so decided to bring the story to life!

It’s Pete here, hope you’re all well!
Just a little update from me: I’ve been busy working away in the background on some bits for Block Art which will be released very soon!
I’ve spent a lot of time in lockdown practicing my photography and editing skills whenever possible. I have followed some online courses and experimenting with lots of new things ready for getting back to working with clients again.
Outside of work I've been cooking, drawing, animating and cycling like crazy. It's been a really nice excuse to explore the local Kentish countryside and find lots of great new locations.
We’ve all missed being out shooting with people but glad now there seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel!

Kamila has been documenting lockdown life over the last couple of months with her film camera and now the amazing folks over at Canterbury Camera Centre are back open the film is off to be developed! Make sure to check out her page in the coming weeks for some unique lockdown snaps.

A little update on our main video man Peter Marsh:
During lockdown he was working away on a submission for a Creative Directing course application and the completion of his short film, both of which are now done! congratulations Peter! We are really excited for him and his journey to further develop his video production and directing skills.
He is also currently adding some finishing touches to a little video we have been working on which will be released very soon, keep your eyes peeled!
All three of us at BAM are keen cyclists and outside of work Peter has been training for a long cycle trip and just smashed out a 100km practice cycle at the weekend! Go team go!
Thanks everyone we will have a couple more updates from the BAM team soon and have some fun videos on the way.

It’s the next in our little lockdown series highlighting Kent products and businesses.
Our second image features the fantastic Carrington’s Chillichup sauce.
Carrington Foods is a Faversham based, sauce and preserve company. The business is run by Chef, Dominic who began by catering at food stands during many food and drink events around Kent. Eventually, due to not being able to find the perfect sauce for his food, he made his own… and so Chillichup was born! As the name suggests it’s a perfect balance of chilli sauce and ketchup but made with fresh, good quality ingredients. We’ve used the sauces and spices he sells on many occasions so it felt right to put together this little scene of one of the bottles bursting with flavour!

We are excited to release a little series of images, highlighting Kent products and businesses. We have decided to do this to keep ourselves practicing and producing cool content, whilst at the same time giving a little boost to some local producers during these times. The series is called Elevating Your Brand.
Our first photo feature is for the speciality coffee roaster Garage Coffee, based in Canterbury and Whitstable. Garage Coffee was founded in 2015 and is run by husband and wife super-team, Alice and Luke. Having tasted their wonderful coffee many times, with both clients and friends, as well as filming at their Canterbury shop on numerous occasions, we thought they would be a perfect choice for our first image. Hello everyone!
An update from us:
At the moment we are each in our own little lockdown worlds but we have been planning and creating to keep the BAM spirit alive.
Peter Marsh has been finishing off a short film for his submission to a creative directing course! He is also finalising the edits on a little BAM video which we are very excited to release soon!
Kamila has been cycling and working on a 35 mm film project to document lockdown life which will be developed and displayed once the lockdown is over.
Pete has been animating and further developing his photography and editing skills, ready for post lock-down! He has a couple of little projects soon to be released on here, keep your eyes peeled.
We have all been keeping well; exercising, making lots of tasty food and missing the shoots and seeing everyone's faces. We hope to be back out in the open, shooting soon!

We always love seeing stuff printed and try to keep a copy of everything. We got in touch with them and they were kind enough to send us over their latest edition. It even arrived the very next day!

Another great shoot with Fella barbers complete. This time we were entering a national hairdressing competition, The American Crew All Star Challenge . Every year photographers and hairdressers have to submit two black and white portrait images, one face-on and one in profile. The competition
Meet Peter.
Peter may be the youngest member of Block Art but he has directing and editing skills beyond his years.
Peter crafts our stories, plans our video shots and then directs and guides cast and clients like a small wizard.
He then disappears into his digital darkroom before reemerging with a beautifully edited video.
He has a love for all things cinema and anything with a quirky, artistic flare really catches his fancy. One of his favourite things from cinema is title design, so naturally he works on all of ours. He handpicks fonts to match each video and if the right one can’t be found he’s been known to even hand draw them just to get the right feel.
