Matt was running through a fantastic part of the marathon route at mile 5.

The later into the morning you get the more the crowds build up, but those of us there for the first few runners got to see some fantastic displays from the elites.

Combine the athletes and the view of Deansgate, my job’s really the easy part.

Shooting stage portraits in a tent in sale a few years ago.

This band are called and they finished a short festival from , taking place across a day, including (I think 7) bands throughout. You get to the end of days like those and you’re ready for bed with 2k+ images to go through. You’re happy though.

One night on Ynys Llandwyn ✨

One of the best things to do with a camera at is wait until it’s dark, drive out into the unknown and go .

Snowdonia being so close gives lots of options, but I always loved Newborough forest and beach.

This was taken at 3am on Llandwyn Island, during a particularly starry night.

Cross country running is hard. Way harder than you think it is. Marl Pitts in Rossendale was my first experience watching a race and I saw it all. Bloody faces, mud everywhere, and shoes coming off on the course.

Through it all you see finishers, and fast finishers. did very well on their home turf- and boy did they suffer for it.

I took a train one day to go and shoot Polar States in Liverpool for the first time.

I don’t remember the name of this support group but I took my best photos of the night with them. They caught my ear with some excellent music and a great sense of style. They’re a great example of the good you can find when you turn up to a gig early.

Maybe one day I’ll see them again.
