We are feeling sad this morning. 3 weeks ago we put out the postbox toppers and so many people have been enjoying them, have been respectful of them and have been helping us keep them safe. We have loved seeing everyone's photos of them and the special keyring scavenger hunt that we did over the weekend where people had the chance to find their own little characters to keep.

Sadly, over the last couple of days, someone has taken a few of the much loved characters from the toppers. So many hours of work were put into these creations and it's gutting that someone would do this. If it was you, and you want to return them, please get in touch. No questions asked - we'd just be so pleased to have them back.

If you have seen the toppers and have wanted to pinch it, take a minute to think about who you will stop from enjoying it, if you do so. If you wanted one of the characters, get in touch with us or Yarn & Yardage and we can get a message to the maker to see if they’d make you one. Or, if you're feeling creative we can find you the patterns so that you can have a go at making one yourself.

We are working hard to bring colour and fun to the local area and we really hope people will be respectful going forward of the things that we create for the community.

What a great idea!

💛🧶💛Random acts of crochet kindness💛🧶💛 We’ve hidden some adorable keyrings around Kingswood for you to find over the Bank holiday weekend. There are ice-creams, whales, octopuses and more all waiting to find their forever home.

If you are lucky enough to find one, it is yours to keep. If you decide to a share a photo, please tag so that we can see it! 😁

The keyrings have been made by the Yarn & Yardage YaY yarn bombers who also made the postbox toppers on Regent street.

Investment in Kingswood Town Centre gathers pace

Plans have been approved to change the focus of the investment in Kingswood to reflect what local people told South Gloucestershire Council they want for the town.

The council has worked with partners to develop a new programme of work that will deliver what people said they want for Kingswood. The proposal was presented to and has been approved by the West of England Combined Authority (WECA).

Protest as new sites added to blueprint

PROTESTERS staged a demonstration against proposals for thousands of homes on the green belt near Kingswood.

The demo, organised by South Our Green Spaces (SOGS) South Gloucestershire, was held before council leaders approved the next stage of a 15-year blueprint for the future of the district, including where more than 22,000 homes could be built.
