I heard this first many moons ago and it always stuck in my mind as one of the most fluid steel guitar tracks I ever heard. Still sounds great and effortless today.

Nice to get Ric Lawton of the Albino Frogs into the studio today to add some sparkle to a couple of my tunes. Thanks to John David for your time and patience at Berry Hill Studio

Another 2 great days working on the on-going project that is XPO-RV. Can't say too much: All under wraps until the music is ready to fit the already made film. Should be really good.

Another great day with Bo Walton & Red Alert. Five great new tracks live. A few tweaks and they'll be ready to go.

At an age of 1937, this must be the oldest Gibson we've ever had here.

Very enjoyable and productive day with The Rads. Mixing tomorrow.

Big thanks to Tim Buckmaster for some wild gypsy lead acoustic work on a rather weird project which will see the light of day in the new year.

Astonishingly good singer in today. Twelve year old Lola Davies. I don't think I've ever heard better, Look out for her on The Voice next series.

Another really busy and interesting week gone, having seen 3 singer-songwriters, 1 poet, and a choir through the doors, as well as guitar phenomenon - James Oliver.

Great session yesterday with The Tempest Kings - flew in for 1 day from around the world!

16/09/2022

Good session today. Another recording closer to the day when this ambitious XPO-RV project sees the light of day. Jim Ramsey - featured vocalist - excellent as usual. The material courtesy of Shelly Garratt - top notch stuff.

Great day at Berry Hill with The Phil Smith Band. Overdubs on tracks for album number four. Classy stuff.

We got a visit today from Austin Texas-based singer songwriter Steve Power. We did an album called "The Journey" here at Berry Hill back in about 2000. There were some wonderful songs on it, and It still sounds great to this day.

this has to be one of the loudest kits I've ever had here!

An aquaintence of mine is selling a load of music gear. Several PAs, Mics, three drum kits, guitars, loads of pedals and effects, and too much more to mention. Let me know if you are looking for anything.

Good session with The Plague Doctors yesterday. Live improv, all in the same room, great players. Surprisingly good separation. Mix tomorrow.

Great day recording the theatre musical show - The Bob Dylan Story. Being a Dylan fan, I've got to say they sounded as near as dammit to the original recordings. Subterranean Homesick Blues was a blinder!. Can't wait to do part two!.
