A fun day out in London, art and records - pleased to pick up a few clean Zamrock beasts, and very surprised by the NM Dr Hayes LP - this is the Nigerian version of De Frank’s ‘Psychedelic Man’ album, never expected to find that!

I wasn’t intending on an all-45s show, but somehow here we are. 36 original 45s from Benin, Nigeria, Kenya, Zambia, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, USA, Zaire, and Leeds! And, of course, you can hear some of these on big speakers at La Bomba with Analog Africa at Lost Horizon in Bristol on the 22nd!

Here’s my manic month of June! This Saturday I’ll be joining the More Soup DJs at the Gallimaufry, then to Abergavenny the following weekend for A Fairy Feral Fable. June 22nd sees the return of Samy Ben Redjeb from Analog Africa - then the following day I’ll be playing at the Pumphouse for the celebration of the Festival of Sao Joao.
On June 28th my fellow La Bomba DJ Boom Operator and I will be at the Jam Jar with the fabulous Gia Fu, top Latin DJ from Hong Kong. And then, to finish the month properly, Easton Standard Time at the Plough on Saturday 29th.
