These Kidz all got to work on a BBC series last year. We had a lot of fun working with that production and really hope they return for another series this year.

I thought I'd share the Briz Kidz Story blog. I really enjoyed writing this one, it was nice to look back and see how everything led me to setting up Briz Kidz. It's also hard to believe that was nearly 9 years ago and how so much has changed and grown since then.

Happy Monday!

We had a great day yesterday at the photography update session. It was so lovely seeing everyone and catching up with the kidz. It's always a joyous day working with Entwisle Productions.

This is also an exciting week. My to-do list is all research based. I have a couple of plans afoot that I need to learn more about before I can spill the beans. I never thought I'd get excited over research!

Happy Weekend Eve!!

It's Craftsday here and, after some inspiration from a BK parent (thanks Andrea!) I'm starting a new project. I've not done lampshade covering before so Pinterest is being hit hard for this one. I have other bits coming for the finishing touches and I am excited to get going. But first, I need to go get the key, ready for the headshot update session on Sunday. Must not forget that!

KIDZ SPOTLIGHT!

These guys got to work on a film in Somerset last Summer. They all did an amazing job and I even got to go out on set for one of the days - it was nice to be out the office for a change and spend a morning with the Kidz!

I am thinking of starting up writing the blogs again, it's been years since I last wrote one but I'm a bit stuck on what to write about. I thought I'd put it to the community and ask if you had any ideas. Something you'd like to know more about, some behind the scene's information or how a process works. I may even get some guest blogs in there so ideas on roles you'd like to hear more about would be great.

Happy Monday Everyone!

I had a productive weekend - I got to see some friends for a catchup and the ceiling for The Croft is sanded - my shoulders are not my friends this morning! How were all your weekends?
This week's to-do tick is to have a good tidy of the admin folders and make sure everything is dust-free and sparkly, filed properly and happy. It's one of those really cathartic jobs that, when it's done, everything is right with the world!

It's CRAFTSDAY! And also WEEKEND EVE! Woohoo

I thought I'd share a before and after of a table I 'found' (it was in the props room of a job I did last year that may have fallen into my boot - no idea how that happened!). Anyway, it's perfect for the Pocket in the hallway and the plant pot is an upcycle too.

Sooo .. I'm about halfway through this weeks to-do list, which I didn't think was too bad. I'm finishing off the Chaperone's Corner today and thats the last thing on my list. Although I need to proofread and tweak the Newsletter before sending it out tomorrow. I actually enjoyed doing it, I'd forgotten how nice it is to show our work with everyone. Go Team BK!

These Kidz all worked on a top secret production last year, with a production company that we've worked with a lot and I'm sure we'll be working with them again in the future. Well done Kidz for your great work on this one, I had great feedback from them.

Happy Monday Kidz!

How were your weekends? I had crazy dreams this weekend - my fave being a casting for a girl that needed to drop out the sky wearing a teddy bear costume. I love my brain sometimes!

This week is all about getting the first newsletter of 2025 out. It should be landing in inboxes by Friday for all those who’ve signed up. I’m using a new mailing service so I need to format it from scratch and learn how to use it! I also need to finish tidying the chaperone corner and catch up on the accounts. Bring it on!!

It's Crafts Day! As you can imagine, I haven't had much time to get crafty, what with all the house renovations going on. However, I did manage to get my craft on just before Christmas with a spot of jacket pimping. This was for my niece, it was a bit plain so I fixed that with some fabric I had laying around and dug out the bugle beads. It was a fun little project and an evening well spent.
Let me know what projects you're working on too, I'd love to see them.

A little update on my To-Do ticks. I've finalised the Ts&Cs and the Privacy Policy is also updated. I'll be sending out the email so you can see those updates. GO ME!! I haven't quite finished Chaperone's Corner on the Database yet as I've been working on the contacts sheet. It may have gone wonky when I was working from it (sorry Julian!) and I needed to fix it. Oopsey!

KIDZ SPOTLIGHT:
These guys all worked on a pilot last year. We're keeping fingers crossed that it gets commissioned as it was a fun job and the kids had a great time. Although, I vaguely remember the weather being a bit iffy on their filming day!

Morning Everyone!
I'm focussing on my wellbeing this year. Last year was a lot and and I still feel a bit drained. I'm kicking things off by following an Energy Reset plan with The Energy Nutritionist. Yesterday's meals were delicious and I'm very excited about today. The downside? Only 3 cuppas a day and none after 1500. Eek!! Next job, finding a local yoga class.

Happy Monday Everyone.

I hope you all had a glorious weekend? Even with the rubbish weather yesterday. Mine was spent with a paintbrush but I did go to a flooring shop in Wells to pick out the flooring for the house. I’ve been after a specific type for ages and he has that brand so it was extra exciting!

Anyway, this weeks to-do tick is to sort out the chaperones in the database (your turn now guys!). I’ll also be sending out the updates Ts&Cs so please keep an eye out for that email as I know how excited you are to read them!
