We are hiring for an additional Edit Assistant for a Natural History series.
The role is office based only so you’ll need to be able to come into our Bristol based office every day.
We’re looking for someone to start early May and the contract will run till the end of the year.
Key Roles and Responsibilities we’re looking for are below.
• Be responsible for media management across the production.
• Organise all rushes as they return from shoot and fill in corresponding logs.
• Ingest rushes ready for edit including synching audio and multi camera shoots.
• Liaise with in house Technical Lead and follow best workflow practices.
• Send rushes data to external post house for archive to LTO and check subsequent reports.
• Support in-house editors and edit facilities.
Additional requirements may include:
• Logging media in editing software
• Editing rough assembles, pre-Edits and taster cuts when required
Essential Skills
• Proficient in Avid Media Composer
• Experience working with multi cam shoots and synching.
• Understanding camera formats, codecs and ingest workflows
• At least 1 year working in similar roles on other productions
• Good organisation, attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Communication and ability to work within a team

• Experience of shared edit storage
• Editing experience or interest to develop your editing skills
