Well, What a January... we moved house late December, within 2 weeks I get made redundant from my job. 2 days later my car packs up and is unusable. And it's the slowest month of the year for pc building. I'm not one to complain but this is starting to feel personal.

If anyone has any pc work, it would be greatly appreciated.

Fortnite runs at 150-200fps and Rocket league at 200+ on max settings.

It's that time of year again, parents being blatantly ripped off by big companies selling junk claiming its a 'gaming pc'

So let take a closer look...

The cpu is an i5 4200u which is a weak LAPTOP cpu so it must be a laptop motherboard (laptop cpus are soldered to the board) in a desktop case!

It says stock Intel cooler so the picture is a flat out lie.

16gb of ram which as its a laptop will be laptop ram

The graphics card is the infamous GT 1030 which is so weak it would struggle to play fortnight at even 720p

In short, it's a scraped laptop in a desktop case with flashy lights that won't play the most basic of games.

Even if you don't buy one from me, please avoid these adverts or you will end up with a very disappointed child.

Sometimes pcs are just weird, hours of troubleshooting this one after the liquid cooler screen stopped working...

And after removing a failing ssd the screen comes back on..? How is that possible, how could a failing ssd with no physical connection to the water pump be causing its screen not work..? Baffled, but happy it's sorted, so much for an easy Sunday job, just to add more storage

This is a quick gameplay test for the £290 pc in the previous post. As you can see Fortnite runs just fine with a average of over 100fps.

This is why I rigorously test each system before putting it up for sale. This is what a dying graphics card looks like, I will be sending it back for a refund and ordering a new one.🤬 I was hoping g to get this one up tonight. Never mind

Ryzen cpus are great, but arriving with bent pins when you don't have time to send it back is not so great... so with phone on 10x zoom and the tip of a craft razor blade and a semi steady hand, let the surgery begin!
