Serotone DnB was founded back in 2012 by Rivalize and Brown B as a brand specialising in Events, but always with a view to expand their field of musical expertise and services one by one. So after a year of running successful events in the UK and hosting some of Drum & Bass’ most renowned artists, the Serotone Recordings imprint was launched in 2013. Since its launch, Serotone Recordings have sign
ed a number of great unheard artists and released many great tracks, not just on a national level, but from all corners of the globe! With artists based in the UK, New Zealand, Europe and Asia, Serotone has risen at a phenomenal rate and has achieved many milestones that have helped to boost their reputation and awareness. They have proved their worth within the Drum & Bass scene vastly, this started to become apparent when they dropped their first yearly album The Prozak LP, which featured only Serotone’s elite artists and gained a phenomenal amount of feedback from the big wigs and some of Drum & Bass’ true pioneers! They have also received airplay from some of the UKs biggest Radio stations, Including Frictions BBC Radio One Show, BBC Radio 1Xtra and DJ Hype’s Kiss FM Show. On top of this they’ve had some of their tracks featured on some of the most sought after D&B podcasts. RAM Records Juggernauts June Miller decided to feature a release on their guest mix for the Blackout podcast, which came from one of Serotone’s international signings Matiflow with their debut single on the imprint. In such a short time, Serotone has not only nurtured its unheard artists towards exposure on international heights and gain support from the majority of Drum & Bass’ biggest artists, its also had its fair share of some highly established names pass through its headquarters on remix duties from a couple of the sub genres in the D&B Scene. From the get go, Serotone called in none other than Voltage, to remix their first release Dogfight by Thrests. At the time he was one of the UKs freshest breakthroughs, the man behind Hard Goin, a track that featured Andy C’s Nightlife series. Following that Serotone tracks have been remixed by the likes of Levela, Jayline and Nu Elementz, More recently, Serotone is working on new Releases that will feature remix pressure from big artists of the Deep and Nuerofunk sub genres of D&B. As well as specialising in Promotions and Productions, they have more recently expanded their services to the audio engineering field, offering all aspects from audio restoration, Stem Mixing & Mastering, Mastering and finalising. They have already built up a customer database consisting of both labels and independent clientele. But it doesn’t stop there; with plans to create an artist performance and remixing agency and roll out their services to all other areas of the music industry. Serotone LTD are striving to provide a 360 degree musically focused brand, and have always taken pride in the quality and affordability of work they deliver in every field of their expertise. Just a month after its launch in 2013, Serotone Recordings had already secured its first booking across the waters in Bratislava (Slovakia). Since then they have been lucky enough to take the brand outside of the UK on numerous occasions in Slovakia, Spain, Czech Republic and Ireland to name a few. They have also hosted stages at some of Europe’s biggest festivals, including the world’s largest Drum & Bass festival “Let It Roll” back in 2014, and also “Trident” festival in 2015. 2016 is already looking good for further expansion of this ever-growing brand, having secured dates in new countries like Austria, Thailand and France. Serotone have also landed many confirmed dates in previously mentioned countries. It is clear that Serotone want to achieve a highly established brand, getting their top tier quality music to peoples ears around the world and they will stop at nothing to verify that their efforts are successful!
