It was an absolute please to work on Tunnel Run for (Link to episodes in bio).

Sound took centre stage on this series and did an amazing job of capturing the audio during the shoot, giving us lots of options in post.

The setup:
7 cars, 2.7 km perfectly straight tunnel, the Stig behind the wheel and no speed restrictions.

The recording setup:

Extensive rig included 6 channel passby mic array, up to 8 channel onboards for cars including binaural interior audio rig. The binaural mic was rigged hidden away from a 360 camera and in a way to avoid vibrations while cars are accelerating and going full speed. Lots of time was spent trying to understand how to do this for every model of a car.

Sound post was completed by is using ProTools with much of the time finding the right combination of mics to use for different shots.
