The Tim Hodgson family ' Net Zero by 2025' plan began as list of postit notes on their fridge.

That list inspired their friends to talk, to help the Hodgsons and to take 📸 of the plan, then write their own net Zero plan.

This was the most approachable way I've seen yet of tackling the climate crisis, I heard Tim talk at .

That was how my day started, the last people I spoke to were Magical Mushroom Company® , they're using mushrooms, the mycelium network & h**p to create an alternative to polystyrene. It's strokable & 💯 compostable.

Somewhere in between I was an extra in a piece for & joined , I went to talk business & walked away a supporter of trees.

It was brilliant to meet to - nothing beats a real life conversation!

It's easier than you think.

is a rewilding project in Wales, small scale, so you can adopt your own plot of land & see it change with the seasons.

Watch nature start to restore herself as the biodiversity of the whole project grows. 💚💚

This isn't about planting trees, rewilding is more sustainable than that. It restores entire ecosystems, so wildlife can thrive .

Did you know we live in one of the most nature depleted countries of the world?? I wonder what our countryside looked like 70 years ago 🦋 🐝 ..

is a simple, low cost way of bringing wildness back. And they use to name your plot toowhich is brilliant 👏

If you want to find NEW customers using Facebook Ads here's how.

🌱 Create a saved audience, you don't need any other data for this one. Just your ideal customers
age range, location & gender if it's relevant. You could add one major interest too. You've just created a broad audience.

Then once you've created an Ad that stops your ideal customer scrolling by, you're good to go.

🌱 Try a lookalike audience based people who have already interacted with your business. First create an Audience based on your social media engagers or your website visitors.

Then build a lookalike audience based on that warm audience.

That allows Facebook to seek out the people who best match your current warm audience.

You'll still need a scroll stopping Ad though!

This is just one of the things I cover in my Ads Nurture 1-1 training package.

Facebook Ads do work & here's the proof 👇👇

Have you seen on Netflix?

It came out last year, and was one of those instant hits, there was loads of buzz around it.

But I didn't manage to watch or search for it 😕

Just didn't have the head space for it ..

Till last week, when a Netflix ad pops up in my feed. Sharing a beautiful scene with Nick, one of the lead characters & his Mum played by Olivia Coleman.

It got me, moved me to 😢

So for me that was the hook to find it on Netflix & binge watch it.

If you haven't seen it, it's joyful heartwarming & wonderful. 💗

What's the Ads learning from this ??

Ads take time.

The more you run, the more you learn.

Especially about kind of hook will work with each type of audience.

Because your audience is made up of different types of people.

Advantage + shopping campaigns let you target warm & cold audiences in one campaign.

It's the biggest change in Facebook Ads for a long time, and it's works for big or small budgets 👏

You can pull in successfull ad campaigns you've already run and create new Ads.

Plus you can chose how budget you allocate to your warm audience, which matters because you should be using these new campaigns to target existing customers & bring in new ones.

For the last few months some clients have it, some not. But now, the update should be universal!

Last year I realised how much I love working with people, so I'm embracing it this year.

It's nearly the end of January so I'm bit late with my word of the year, but 2023 has taken me while to settle into..

I'm already working with who use comms as a force for good, they're fantastic! In a couple of months I'm co-hosting a day workshop with Mel of I can't wait for that one. It'll be in Brighton and it's a day focusing on social media strategy.

I want to guest on more podcasts this year, was my first so now I want to do more.

That's the start of my collaboration for 2023 - there's more to come !

Big News !!

I can now tag your products in my Reels & posts. I don't have a Shop, but I can tag products in Instagram Shops.

It's simple to do, just create your Reel as normal & at the end, scroll to tag products. There you can search for the shop you want, and choose the products you want to tag !

This is really big news for shop owners, I think the brand exposure you could get from this is massive.

So,make sure your shop is up to date, all your Christmas products are there and ready to buy.

If you're not sure how to set up your Shop, it's probably time to talk to an expert.

Today is a good day - my first ever podcast is LIVE!

I was a guest on Aggie Meroni's podcast -Freelance-Ads-Club - we started by chatting about the journey to being an Ads Manager, white labelling with agencies but mostly we talked about alcohol.

What it's like to advertise alcohol on Facebook & Instagram and what a challenge it is creatively because you can't obviously you can't actually promote drinking!

But that is what I've loved about working with alcohol brands.

To do well with Facebook Ads preparation is key, the more you can do the better.

🍃So firstly if you're even vaguely thinking that Facebook Ads will be part of your marketing one day, install the Facebook Pixel.

It's a little piece of code that sits on your website tracking your visitors who have opted in to being tracked. And the sooner it starts collecting that data the better for you, because you'll have much more info about your web site visitors and potential customers.

🍃 Your organic social media needs to be on point, you need to be posting regularly ( whatever that looks like for you) and what you post needs to resonate with your audience. Because the better it is the better your ads will do plus the more data you'll have about who your people are.

🍃 Your landing page needs to load quickly and give people exactly what they were expecting from your ad. We have such a short time to grab attention on a web click so your landing page has to show the product they wanted or connect people with the service they were curious about.
Make sure the rest of your website works well too, there's no point paying for prospects to visit your site only for them to leave when a button doesn't work or they can't find what they wanted.
