Underdark @ Dust, Brighton

Nottingham’s Underdark has solidified its place as a cornerstone of the UK’s underground music scene since 2015. Their latest album, 2023's Managed Decline (Church Road Records), has been hailed as “a glorious, layered sound that is as ethereal as it is bellicose” (Distorted Sound Magazine), while Noizze described it as “a phenomenal, near-flawless piece of emotive post-black metal.”

This is music that cuts deep, blending post-rock’s vast atmospheres with black metal’s ferocity to deliver a live experience that’s as emotionally raw as it is utterly captivating.

The first edition of Calamity Club marks our first show of 2025. Joining us will be local hardcore punk from Unorthadox, a combination of doom sludge & post metal from Norwich's birdwitch, Gloma representing Worthing Town Hardcore & the ladies in new hardcore band Livid.

Drawing influences from the early 2000s new wave of American metal and the Scandinavian melodic death metal scene, these Norwegians have carved a place for themselves in the underground scene, and now it’s your chance to experience their unrelenting sound live!

Huge love to everyone who came down last night and a big thank you to Somna, Led Astray Band, Æl-Fierlen, East Street Tap & Aaron McKay for making it all possible!

The support for the underground Brighton scene is incredible and it warms my heart to see everyone show up and have a good time!

Whilst my 2024 schedule is now over, there is many more to come in 2025 with some show announcements coming VERY soon.

Hey everyone, we’ve got a couple of changes for the upcoming show:

1️⃣ New Venue
We’re moving the event to East Street Tap (74 East Street, Brighton BN1 1HQ). Same date, same time. Your tickets will still be valid!

2️⃣ Lineup Change
Unfortunately, Vanitas won’t be able to perform due to health issues. In their place, we’re excited to introduce Ael Fierlen to the lineup. They’re ready to bring an incredible show.

Some sad news today. Vampires Everywhere! have postponed their upcoming tour and will no longer be performing in Brighton in a couple of weeks with Psycho Village.

Refunds have been issued to everyone who bought a ticket. A huge appreciation for everyone who did, hopefully Vampires Everywhere! will be back soon! 🔥

We will be hosting a last minute replacement show for the same place same night with Better Dead. We are also seeking atleast 2 bands to fill the replacement line-up. Drop us a message if interested!
