WILSON FIVE AHEAD!

That final frame of the session was HUGE in the context of this final.

It looked like Jak Jones was going to close the deficit to just 3 frames with Wilson needing a snooker on the colours but he got the snooker then pinched the frame on the black after Jones attempted a double and left it over the corner pocket.

Wilson now leads 11-6 going into tomorrow’s final sessions.

WILSON IS FLYING!

It’s been a fantastic first session in the World Championship Final from Kyren Wilson.

He made breaks of 129, 52, 66, 62, 125 and 90 as he raced into a 7-0 lead.

Jak Jones hit back in the final frame of the session with a break of 65 to bring the deficit down to 6 frames but he’s already got a mountain to climb to get back into this final.

WILSON TAKES CONTROL OF THE SEMI!

The Warrior, Kyren Wilson is just three frames away from his second World Championship Final as he leads David Gilbert 14-10.

They came into the evening locked at 8 frames a piece which then became 9-9 but Wilson reeled off five straight frames to race into a 14-9 lead. Gilbert did claim the final frame of the evening but he’s got a mountain to climb if he is to make his maiden World Championship Final appearance.

The match will be played to a finish tomorrow afternoon.

O’SULLIVAN OUT!!!

Another shock as Stuart Bingham ends Ronnie O’Sullivan’s World Championships for this year by running out a 13-10 winner in what was a fantastic match.

Bingham now faces Jak Jones for a place in the final.

In the other match to conclude this evening, Kyren Wilson defeated John Higgins 13-8 and now faces David Gilbert in the semi-finals.

GILBERT SEES OFF MAGUIRE!

Dave Gilbert overcame a spirited fightback from from Stephen Maguire to advance to the semi-finals 13 frames to 8. The Scot was 7-1 after the first session and it was a to big of a margin to cut back and Gilbert eventually ran out a comfortable victor.

Gilbert now plays the winner of Kyren Wilson vs John Higgins with their quarter final match concluding this evening.

HIGGINS & BINGHAM COME THROUGH!

On a dramatic night of snooker last night John Higgins came through in a decider 13-12 against Mark Allen with a fantastic clearance from 62 points down in the decider.

On the other table, Jack Lisowksi battled back from 9-7 down to level at 11-11 on for Stuart Bingham to prevail 13 frames to 11.

Higgins now plays Kyren Wilson in the quarters whilst Bingham faces Ronnie O’Sullivan.
