All good things must come to an end. I can't thank all at Love Summer Radio enough for the last 3 years. They have allowed me free rein to run my shows how I wanted. A massive thanks to all the amazing guests that have given up their time to do exclusive mixes for my shows. 😢😢😢
You can still catch my last show on Love Summer Radio this Friday 9th September 8pm-10pm with a very special underground guest mix by Underdog Project.

Last one out switches the light off.......
It's been a blast, just over 3 years of epic radio brought to you by many exceptionally talented South West DJs yet as the saying goes 'all good things come to an end' and we'll be airing our final month on the airwaves in September.
We'll be tidying up the desk, logging out, and heading 'off air' for midnight on 30th September.
Craig and I have developed and delivered Love Summer Radio from the outset, it was pretty crazy fitting it in amongst our existing roles in life yet we did it and it will be these roles that we can fully focus on again. I won't be twiddling my thumbs as I have stacks going on and much on the horizon whilst Craig aka Creature Craig has had a very busy year of DJ bookings, stage managing venues at festivals and his lighting rig has also been out and about at events and club nights. The 'Live' space is where he shines so expect to see him often if you party in the South West!
Firstly, thank you to Billy and Jane of Love Summer Festivals for trusting the 2 of us to deliver a vibrant radio platform under their brand. We certainly threw everything at it from the start. In 2020 when the festival couldn't take place during lockdown we aired an entire summer of Field Good Friday all day shows with some weighty headliners and were super pumped to be instrumental in providing festival vibe content over their down time and that we went on to further support them when 'normal life' returned to us all last year.
To the crews and contributing DJs that make up the massive range of feature shows that we created we are grateful for all that you brought to us. The South West has so many great artists and set ups with the energy for our shows being electric.
Overseeing 100s of DJs, their expectations and their abilities had its moments, most of them buoyant we'd like to add so it really has been a whole lot of fun from start to finish. Not to mention the whole raft of female DJs that we regularly showcased from the start. Our 'Girls Night In' shows drew a big listenership and we soon became known as a platform that promoted 50/50 line ups whilst shouting about our support of female artists who we feel remain underrepresented in the local & national scene. Ladies, keep pushing through because you damn well rock it!
Thanks to all the followers and listeners. You did us proud, so much good feedback from you over the past 3 years. We were always confident that we got it right yet it's nice to hear it direct from you too when we are out and about. We felt the love you shared with us! Please do tune in next month to hear the final shows planned by our resident show DJs, they are going out with a bang!
In our short time on air Love Summer Radio broadcast to you Alex P, Brandon Block, Graham Gold, John Kelly, Phutek, D.A.V.E The Drummer, Mr C, Lenny Fontana, Saytek, My Bad Sister, Powello Bros, Zion Train (Dub Set), Run Tingz Crew and Chopstick Dubplate and epic 24 hour live shows......not bad for a little set up in the South West! The Love Summer Radio Mixcloud profile will remain so all the shows from June 2019 will be there for you to listen in on for free when you get those pangs for great music!
Finally, to the resident LIVE show DJs that made up the Love Summer Radio family we absolutely salute you, our gratitude knows no bounds. We could not have asked to work alongside such a wealth of diverse talent and its been a pleasure watching your shows develop, your confidence sky rocket, connections forged, collaborations grow and your bookings increase across the scene. You are all fabulous at your craft and we wish you all the best of luck with your continuing journey.
You really are the music, we just set the stage and we'll miss you.
Big love to you all and thanks for listening folks, last one out switches the light off!
