The first parish established in Camotes Island founded in 1847 Originally made of thick coral stones, built in 1849 under the supervision of Fathers Nicolas Gonzales and Ambrocio Yturriaga. The belfry was constructed in 1963. This is the most tangible legacy of the Spaniards to the Porohanon.
