Wow, what a year it’s been! I’m beyond grateful to every single person who’s walked with me on this journey—those who gave me opportunities, challenged me, taught me something new, spoke life into me, or simply offered encouragement. You’ve all been a part of this incredible chapter. 🙌

- Traveled across Europe multiple times, meeting some amazing people along the way. 🌍
- Returned to the decks after years and played my first DJ gig—a dream come alive. 🎧
- Won an unexpected DJ mentorship program, where I not only honed my craft but also learned how to create my own brand. 💡
- Locked in *three livestream residencies a week*—talk about staying busy doing what I love! 🔥

Not music related! Reflections on Gossip and Compassion in a Fast-Paced World

I've started writing more reflectively, and it’s been a meaningful way to grow, process, and maybe, just maybe, offer a little something for others to reflect on too. I’m on a journey to become a better human, imperfect as I am, and I believe we can all do our best to be better every day.

In this digital age, gossip travels faster than ever—and it often does more harm than we realize. What may seem like harmless talk can deeply hurt others and damage reputations irreparably. It's so crucial to consider both people and both sides of any story.

Here are a few thoughts that have been on my mind:

Gossip Undermines Trust: When people share gossip, they betray an unspoken trust. If someone’s gossiping to me, chances are they’re gossiping about me when I’m not around. It makes me question what kind of trust exists when confidentiality isn’t respected.

Harmful to Mental Health: For those on the receiving end, gossip can be emotionally devastating. It can lead to anxiety, self-doubt, and isolation, breaking down a person’s confidence and affecting their mental health.

Creates Division: Gossip fosters cliques and division—an "us vs. them" mentality that doesn’t bring people closer but instead feeds negativity.

One-Sided Stories: Often, stories are told with a bias that favors the teller. Without hearing both sides, we risk misunderstanding and unfairly judging others. This kind of selective storytelling fuels conflict, creates resentment, and skews the truth.

To combat the negative effects of gossip, I believe in fostering open, honest, and balanced communication:

Seek the Truth: Make sure what you share is accurate and from reliable sources. If it’s personal, go directly to the person involved instead of speculating.

Respect Confidentiality: Trust is the foundation of healthy relationships and communities. When we respect others’ confidence, we create a safer, more supportive environment.

Build on Real Connections: If all you share with someone is gossip, consider if that’s the best foundation for a relationship. Relationships thrive on honesty, kindness, and shared values—not on tearing others down.

The world is already challenging enough without misjudging people or overlooking their struggles. I don’t expect blind belief, but if there's ever a problem, I encourage open conversation. Let’s work toward a world where trust, respect, and kindness guide our connections.
