What do you want your content to do?
Is it to post in hopes to get more business? More likes? More follows? More DMs?
This is very important to figure out. ESPECIALLY if you have paid for a service or product such as a Promo Video. It is important to sit back and think about what you want to gain from this.
You can have the best piece of content in the world but if you mindlessly post it with a disconnected copy and with generally no direction as to what its for then it can perform poorly.
This is something i have came across over the past load of years i have been creating promo videos.
Some may think that the video will do all the work and that it will guarantee business simply just by existing.
It is important to come up with a plan. Point your video in the right direction!
Think about:
- Who is your Audience/ ideal client
- What time of day are you posting?
- Are you using Hashtags?
- Have you added your location?
At the end of the day we aren’t all professional copy writers and we aren’t all marketing geniuses. But at least implement the basics and you can give your content a fighting chance at success.
THEN… the video will do what it is supposed to do.

I noticed that i had a lot of unused footage that would surprisingly work well for a short highlight video of his gym. This was the result.

This filming position is WHY my neck and back pain exists lol although I’ve just recently got seen too by a physiotherapist and I’m as good as new again.
Ive learnt in recent years that sitting at a desk all day editing or filming for long periods of time isn’t only bad on the eyes but also bad for posture.
I have been wearing blue light blocking glasses while editing as much as i can (except when colour grading) and also been going to physio regularly enough when I’ve had long periods of filming take place.

Training is something I’ve neglected for a long time there also… funny that i work with so many fitness professionals and i wasn’t even training myself lol… now I’m back into loving the gym and eating healthier.
So, why am i posting this?
… no idea.

The fitness industry is evolving rapidly with the latest interest in online coaching.
I recently created a series of videos to help sell new online program. Not only that but we shot a full exercise library and a short series of demonstration videos for his e-book.
The fantastic group of people over at designed him a full website along with other things within their package.
Fionnbhárr has now had sales from all around the world and is seeing fantastic results. Thats what happens when a professional hires professionals.

What is your Fitness Business in need of?

Here is 3 reasons why you should have professional video incorporated into your fitness business:
1️⃣ A great Videographer will come up with marketing ideas to best serve the video. It could be to direct you on exactly what to say and how to say it or it can be to showcase testimonial content instead of a training video. It really depends on what is talked about and addressed before we work together.
2️⃣Its takes away that annoying and time consuming task of trying to do it yourself. Ive worked with a lot of Trainers and Gym owners who used to do all the video and photo content themselves and now they would never dream of it.
3️⃣ The quality. Phone quality has gotten so much better…. But that doesn’t mean it gives a professional or cinematic look simply by just pressing record. A Videographer will have great camera and audio equipment at hand to make your content look and sound like a proper production and not just a self made vlog.
That all being said… hiring a videographer or photographer or web designer or any service of that nature is an INVESTMENT and you should take good thought and care as to who you decide to hire. This is your hard earned money and the service needs to reflect the price point.
