Whatās more important? Impact or income? š¤
Caring professionals go into their career because helping others is something they are passionate about. Itās never about the money. Itās about being fulfilled by the work you do, and feeling like you can make a difference in the world.
I know this is true for me. I decided in my early 20s to go back to uni to become an Occupational Therapist because I saw how powerful and how needed this profession is. OTs help disabled people, young and old, with both physical and mental health problems, to be as independent as possible and to have the best quality of life possible. š
BUTā¦ working in healthcare (whether thatās NHS or charity sector, or even independent practice) is unlikely to pay a high salary. After 20 years in my career, and climbing through multiple promotions to clinical specialist level, I was still just about earning enough every month to cover my ever rising living costs! š¤Æ
Yes, itās a āgoodā wage and a āgoodā career, but I have learned that life should be about much more than just surviving. We are made for so much more!
I have had the privilege to meet and learn from some incredible people who have added an extra income stream, so that they can either
a) continue their career from a place of passion and impact, working the hours they choose; or
b) use their professional expertise to help others in a different way, by moving into the world of online business, allowing a much bigger reach and therefore greater impact.
My online business community is full of caring professionals and other conscious entrepreneurs and business ownersā¦ coaches, therapists, physios, OTs, nutritionists, chiropractors, yoga teachers, energy healers, teachers, nurses.. the list goes on and on!

So my answer to the question, what is more importantā¦ I believe you can have both! But itās a fact that the more income you have, the more impact you can make. Itās also true that the more impact you have, the more income you will receive!
So remember these 3 thingsā¦.
āØ 1. Itās ok to desire more money. The truth is money gives us more choices and allows us to have a better quality of life. It allows us to give more, as well as relieving stress and worry. Itās not ābadā and wanting more is not āgreedyā or anything to be ashamed of.
āØ 2. Affiliate marketing can be professional, impactful and credible. It can change your life and help you to serve others. It can help you to become an entrepreneur, teaching you so many useful and transferable skills. And it can be a freedom business, helping you work smarter not harder, bringing you high profits in just a few hours per week. You donāt have to be an inventor, a genius, or a workaholic.
āØ 3. Humans are designed for growth, and this never stops. Not after school or university; not after climbing a career ladder; not after becoming a mum or a granny, or a wifeā¦ we can and should be striving to be the best version of ourselves at every stage of life. Personal development will improve all areas of your life. And learning within a community will help you grow beyond your current idea of what is possible!
