Turns out that these bad boys were such a hit that we’ve already had a request to provide them for another event next year!
With that in mind, it only makes sense—Neuro-Sense, to be exact—to make this an official IMUK offering. (Like what we did there?! 🤣)
If you’re planning a live event in 2025 and want to make it more neuroinclusive, get in touch to secure your Neuro-Sense Toolkits!

🚨 Oops! Lunch & Learn Link Glitch Alert 🚨
Hi everyone,
Well, this is awkward... It seems that for some of you who signed up for today’s Lunch & Learn, the Teams link decided to take the day off! 😅 🤦♀️
First off, I’m so sorry for the hassle—tech gremlins strike again!
Secondly, I’m relieved a little as so many signed up and I wondered where you all were!
We did have a few people manage to join, but I’ve heard from a number of you who couldn’t get in, so here’s what I’d like to do to make it right:
1️⃣ I’ll be running another session next Tuesday at 12 PM so you can still join the conversation. I will manually add you to the meeting this time to avoid any more glitches!
2️⃣ We’ve created an eBook to complement the session, and I’ll make sure it’s sent out to all of you ASAP.
Thanks for your patience, and extra points for those who didn’t throw their laptop out the window!
If you’d like to join next week, drop a comment below or DM me, and I’ll get you the new link.
Looking forward to round two (and a glitch-free experience)!

What. A. Weekend! I’ve loved every single minute of it—but two nights on the bounce? This girl is DONE. Thankfully, I’ve got no “peopling” jobs booked in tomorrow because, let me tell you, the social hangover is real, and it’s already kicking in!For those who don’t know, a social hangover is that special mix of exhaustion, emotional drain, and general “leave me alone” vibes you get after a big dose of socialising. And for some of us navigating life with neurodifferences, we tend to be prone to it! 🫣Even as a self-confessed extrovert, I’m no stranger to it. Why? Because socialising is cognitively taxing! Seriously, the brain is working overtime when you’re out there mingling! You’re decoding body language, navigating conversations, keeping tabs on your stuff (and your lipstick), deciding if that “witty” comment is actually witty, questioning if you’re too much or not enough—the list goes on. Add in the extra layers that often come with neurodifferences, and it’s like running a marathon while trying to do mental gymnastics. By the end of the night, my brain’s waving a white flag and whispering, “Let’s never do this again.”For me, a social hangover feels a bit like burnout. Fatigue? Check. Can’t focus? Check. Slightly grouchy? Oh, absolutely. Sometimes it’s subtle, like a creeping fog, and sometimes it’s full-on “I’ve been hit by a bus” mode. But here’s the thing: it’s temporary, and it’s worth it! Socialising is SO important (even if it’s knackering). Humans are built for connection, and being lonely has been shown to increase ⬆️ mortality rates by up to 26%—oof 😳! So, yes, I’ll take the occasional social hangover if it means enjoying epic weekends with awesome people. That said, I’ve got tomorrow blocked off for recovery, cos I knew it was coming! No peopling. Just some quiet time outside, maybe a nap, Xmas 24 and lots of snacks! To all the social hangover warriors—however your brain works:
Oh What A Night! Last night, Ask Zoe and I had an absolute blast at the Female business awards in gorgeous #Manchester. While we didn’t win in our categories, we were all about celebrating those who did—congrats to the shamazing winners! We also so met some other women ballers too! #LovedMeetingYouAll #NewFriends #WomenLeadersNaturally, we danced the night away, and (as only I can) I somehow turned the after-party into karaoke. #boom Nothing like belting out a bit of Ol’ Tina Proud Mary to get a party really going! Oh, and we both even won a few quid on the scratch card gifts—turns out luck was on our side after all! That’s one event ticked off, but no rest for the wicked—tonight, it’s round two at the Come Together for CALM Gala! A cause that’s very close to both our hearts, CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) does vital work supporting mental health and suicide prevention. If you’ve never heard of them, please check them out at: https://lnkd.in/eiqRnDVI’m swapping last night’s sequins for something a little more glam tonight, but the energy’s still high (despite my age saying otherwise 🫣). Wish me luck for surviving two big nights in a row—I’ll need it! 😂Keep your eyes on our socials for updates—we’ve got more excitement coming your way!#FemaleBusinessAwards #WomenInBusiness #ComingTogetherForCALMGala #MentalHealthMatters #Neuroinclusion #networking #TwoNightsOfGlam #SmallBizLifeAlt Text: A reel showcasing images and short videos from the Female Business Awards. Highlights include the stunning venue Victoria and Albert Marriott Hotel Manchester. Ever met someone and thought, “They seem like they’ve got it all together”? Appearances can be very deceiving—especially with neuroinclusion! Just because someone looks calm doesn’t mean they’re not navigating a hidden mix of challenges. It’s like trying to walk confidently while your sock’s halfway off in your boot! On the outside, you look fine, but inside, there’s a whole lot of chaos. For those of us with neurodifferences, those “sock-in-the-boot” moments are often a regular part of life—sensory overload, social stress, or juggling endless details. Just because they seem okay doesn’t mean they’re not working extra hard to fit into spaces not necessarily designed with them in mind. Remember: “normal” doesn’t look one way! Real inclusion means seeing beyond appearances, listening, and creating space where everyone feels like they belong (escaping socks and all!).So let’s rethink what support looks like. ADHD AWARENESS MONTH - DAY 30💬 Ever feel like ADHD makes you exhausted all the time? Let’s talk about ADHD fatigue. This isn’t your ‘average’ tiredness. ADHD fatigue is a whole-body exhaustion – physical, mental, and emotional – that many of us with ADHD face. It’s that feeling of being drained, from trying to focus, keep organised, and manage impulses. And yes, it can be relentless! 😫ADHD fatigue shows up in a few different ways, like:😴 Physical fatigue (that ‘I can barely move’ feeling).😴 Brain fog (where concentrating feels like wading through mud).😴Emotional exhaustion (when everything just feels a bit too much).😴 Sensory overload (because even noises feel like they’re on max volume). So, why does ADHD cause such intense fatigue?A mix of things like:💤 Struggling with sleep (ever feel wired at night?).💤 Hyperfocus or hyperactivity (either extreme can zap energy).💤 Constant stress from trying to “keep it together” (hello, masking, hello burnout).💤 And for some, meds that don’t quite hit the right dosage.Plus many more, overwhelm, boredom, mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, differences in our neurotransmitter system… this list is not exhaustive and is an individual experience! What can help? 🤔A few simple things, that you probably have heard time and time again, can genuinely make a real difference:💧Stay hydrated and nourish your body. (Set alarms or get a friend, colleague or partner to remind you!)🏋️Get moving – even a little exercise can be amazing. (Find a gym buddy or group you enjoy!)📋 Stick to a sleep routine (not always easy, but it pays off - again rope anyone you can in to help support you with this! I thank the ever suffering husband as I’m a toddler when I’m tired!). 🧘 Practice mindfulness or take mini-breaks – it’s not just for relaxing!; it helps reset focus and energy.👩⚕️ And if you need support, reaching out to a pro can be transformative. #He
