Fish pie for dinner this evening, loaded with lots of salmon, smoked basa & king prawns in homemade white sauce topped with potato carrot & parsnip mash & reduced fat mature cheddar baked til bubbling & cheese start's to crisp up🤤 with so much good quality fish it was quite an expensive dish but it worked out at £4.32 per head for our 4 big servings, it could of been stretched to serve 6!!!
*Please note I used semi skimmed milk, lowlow & 30% reduced fat mature cheddar cheese to try keep the calories from going sky high lol

Hiya guys L here hope you're all well & have had a lovely weekend, so guys hubby, wee P Bear & I met up with aunty Beckie & Baby belle for a swim, wee dander & a catch up, I then took hubby to The Pit Stop Diner for a fry up, & what a feed it was! Hubby got the full pit stop fry & I got it too but without the chips, the all day breakfast comes with potato & soda bread, pancakes, bacon, sausages,eggs, black & white pudding, tomatoes, beans & mushrooms & a portion of chips!!!, we both got a tea & wee P Bear was more than happy to have my sausages😋 hubby finished all his along with 1 of my tomatoes, half my beans & mushrooms(the man's a machine 🤣) hubby was really impressed with it & wee P Bear must of been too as he sat beside us as good as gold, so guys if you're ever up in that direction looking for somewhere decent to get some grub then pop in & give them a try👍

Hiya guys L here so guys it just shows I'm getting old when things like this excite me🤣 our Christmas veg I bought before Christmas at 15p per pack is still giving & I found a pack of streaky bacon in the bottom of the fridge which thankfully was just in date but needed used 😁 I'm now into the last bag of spuds & there's a turnip & a bag of sprouts.

Hi guys L here hope you're all well so guys we've wanted to try this wee place for a long time now so I was wanting a wee catch up with big J so I picked him up & we headed up the road to The Pit Stop Diner in Ballybogey(main route to Portrush), WARNING ⚠️ now you may hear some words/phrases that may cause offence as we arrive into the diner purely as big J was so excited 😆 when he seen it, anyway I'm glad we finally got, it's so cute inside & the staff are so so lovely, friendly & polite & I will be honest I was shocked at their menu, I think I was expecting a small basic menu but it had lots of things to choose from, breakfasts, burgers, pizzas etc so I got a breakfast, potato bread, bacon & poached eggs with a coke zero, & J got a spicy chicken fillet burger fully dressed with chips & a cup of tea, it came to £14.80 which I thought was really good 👍, they have plenty of room inside, they also have a loo👍 & for all us fur baby parents they're dog friendly!!! Big J enjoyed his feed(as did I) so I let him take the lead with a score😁 so J gives the pit stop diner a.............

Fabulous 9/10🥳🎉

He said he'll definitely be back & I said I really have to take hubby & wee P Bear 👍

Good selection of free from in one of the wee supermarkets down the street from our hotel 👍 but of course as usual the price is alot more expensive compared to everything else although we did notice that chocolate, cereal & pot noodles were really expensive, a regular chicken mushroom pot noodle is like €2.95!!! & Pack of digestive biscuits or ginger nuts were like almost €3!!!

So we treated ourselves to a lovely family meal out in a steakhouse, we then got dessert in the wee pizzeria in our hotel poolside, we each picked an ice-cream, so 3 ice-creams came to €9.00, mine tasted exactly as I'd hoped, that "biscoff" flavour with vanilla ice-cream 😋 delicious , hubby got what I can only describe as an ice box cake, vanilla ice-cream sandwich in between what would be similar to rich tea biscuits but they're not hard/crisp it's went soft but still firm & V got a caramel vanilla ice-cream cone as she got one at the zoo & enjoyed it that much 😁

€70.00 for 7 full days, the more days you hire it, the cheaper it works out per day(think it's €55 for 3 days) even though €70 is quite a chunk out of our holiday money it was 💯 worth it, it gave me so much freedom & of course it also helped out these two with me not being a burden 🥰

The difference between a €3 & a 37¢ doughnut?

Not a big lot apart from the price difference, if I had to choose which one was the best, I'd say the 37¢ one but honestly they were basically the same, both lovely & soft like a big squishy cloud with a nice sticky sweet glaze🤤 just goes to prove high price doesn't always mean higher quality! The €3 zoo doughnut gets a 8.5/10 & the €0.37 doughnut from the supermarket down the street which btw I got at 9.30pm gets a 10/10🎉

Hiya guys L here hope you're all keeping safe & well(&warm🥶) so guys myself, V & hubby were supposed to go on a family holiday when V was just 14 Easter 2020 & well we all know how that year went 😬 so we've always talked about having a wee family trip away & well our gorgeous V paid for our family holiday as a Christmas present 🎁 anyway V & I have been intrigued about the likes of McDonald's & burger king etc in other countries & after our girly trip to Ibiza we've been wanting to try a Spanish McDonald's & so finally we did, it came to €32.00 or around £28.00 for my medium meal with upgraded fries, hubby's large meal & V's medium meal with seasoned fries & then of course my wee dessert, so I think that's around average what 3 meals would cost back home 🧐, see under each photo for my thoughts, much love L 😘

Hi guys L here hope you're all well so guys we went & popped our Cosmo Restaurants cherry 🍒, we said we'd take J for a family birthday meal when V got her Christmas holidays so we hit the big smoke this evening, & you know me, can't go anywhere new without a wee review 😅 I didn't do a video as 1) it was too busy & 2) it was family time & eating time lol but once we got home we had a wee conflab & this is our thoughts 👇

1) all our food we tried was very good 👍 everything looked tasty & it was all good & hot.
2) there is loads on offer so plenty to keep everyone happy, there was sushi rolls, salad bar, Chinese dishes, roast dinner dishes & a grill cooking steak & prawns & of course dessert along with a chocolate fountain!!!
3) there's a lift✅ there's a disabled bathroom ✅ it's all pretty accessible ✅ or atleast most of it is however I don't believe that an independent wheelchair user would find it easy to get around 🧐, we feel that they should do away with a few tables to make more room.
4)was a tad surprised that they couldn't simply bring a jug of water to the table instead they give you tiny glasses to go to the drink station to get your own, which if like us was quite a walk from our table to the drink station/bar, we felt that perhaps they should have 2 drinks stations.
5) There's a 1hr 30mins time limit, now it's a buffet so of course you can't have people sitting for ages & ages & eating & eating but I felt that we were rushed, infact I didn't even see half of the foods on offer, don't get me wrong I came home full but if I'd of took the time viewing everything I don't think I would of finished within our time especially considering the distance from our table to go get a drink from the drink station! It's not really a place to go for a family or friend gathering, more of literally eat & go which I prefer to take my time to enjoy the food, let me tummy settle then maybe have a coffee or something while having a good chatter, so perhaps a 2hour limit would be good 🧐.
6)Good gosh the carpark, handy especially for us who have "limits" (disabilities) but it's expensive, £12 for just over 2hours(we arrived almost 30mins early for our table) thankfully we got it for £9.00 with our cosmos receipt which come on is still ridiculous high!!!
7) For the 4 of us along with 2 refillable drinks came to £96.00 which is alot yes but when you consider it's a starter, main & dessert it actually isn't bad at all, think the price is slightly dearer at the weekend, think it was £22.50 per adult so not bad at all £22.50 for a 3 course dinner never mind that you can go up for more if you want 👍.
8)The restaurant & bathroom were very tidy, staff are obviously very good at clearing up & cleaning down tables ✅.

In saying all that I think we'd still be more than happy to eat here again especially now we know where everything is & how it all works 👍

I'd say that I'd give them a very good 8.5 outta 10 🎉

Hi guys L here hope you're all well & enjoying your weekend so far, so guys I'm still using up bits from our Christmas food shop, I don't have too much left now, just a couple wee bits of cheese & some 15p potatoes, carrots, parsnips & a 15p turnip, but for brunch I made this delicious omelette using some of the ham, cheese & wee tomatoes😁 the only things we've really bought since Christmas shop is milk, Bread & eggs, also our garden birds, big🐦‍⬛ & small 🐦 also have been quite well fed with our scraps👍 I make them porridge with leftover meat stock, meats, fruit & veg etc anyway guys hope you all have a fabulous weekend, much love L 😘
