This morning I received a lovely, big, green book through the letterbox to add to my collection of books I've worked on.

About a year ago I translated an essay by Diedrich Diederichsen all about punk and politics in the eighties. It's great to see it in print in this book entitled 'The Long 1980s: Constellations of Art, Politics and Identities', published by Valiz.

I've just finished working on a translation from Marina Naprushkina's 'Neue Heimat? Wie Flüchtlinge uns zu besseren Nachbarn machen' (featured in the clip below).

It's all about a neighbourhood initiative for refugees that Naprushkina set up in Berlin. Finding out about the daily lives of refugees in Germany and the struggles they face has been a real eye-opener.
