Unfortunately, we have a bit of a issue at the moment with the radio text. It is due to a issue with the server this affects all platforms. We should hopefully fix this in the next couple of hours. (You may notice your radio occasionally cuts out please do not retune as this is an issue with our end)

A Thanksgiving Service is being held to celebrate the life of Mike Pusey on Monday 14th October at 2pm.

The Service is being held at Millmead Baptist Church in Guildford (GU2 4BE) and it's the wishes of Mike that everyone comes dressed in bright colours and also encouraged to wear any red and blue or associated Aldershot Town FC colours to make it a colourful occasion.

The invitation is open to anyone who would like to show their love or thanks to Mike.

With a large turnout expected, it's advised to check Guildford Borough Council's website's parking list to see local public car parks.

We are currently in attendance at the Allianz Insurance building in after three protesters targeted the premises earlier today (8 October).

The protesters, who are believed to be from the pro-Palestinian protest network Palestine Action, have climbed onto a glass canopy above the main entrance to the building, where they remain.

A team of officers who are trained in the removal of protesters at height are on their way to the location.

A significant amount of damage has been caused to the outside of the building.

Staff have been asked to work from home today.

It is believed that the group has targeted other buildings owned by Allianz Insurance this morning.

Superintendent Mark Offord said: “Officers were sent to the premises as soon as we made aware that the protesters had broken into the Allianz Insurance premises. They have not been arrested yet, as they need to be removed safely first and specially trained officers will be arriving shortly to do that. This may take some time.

“While we recognise the right to protest, there is no excuse for anybody using it as an excuse to engage in criminal activity.”
