5 Day Forecast (Saturday 25th to Thursday 30th May 2024).

Bright with sunny spells today, with a few showers. Turning increasingly cloudy this evening and overnight with spells of rain moving in from the south and west.
Early rain will quickly clear tomorrow morning leaving a day of bright and sunny spells and scattered heavy showers, with a chance of thunder and lightening. Further showers are expected during the evening and overnight,which could turn into prolonged spells of heavy thundery rain, with some surface flooding possible.
Bright and sunny spells and scattered heavy showers on Monday, though easing later in the afternoon. Becoming dry for a time during Monday evening and overnight, although outbreaks of rain will move in from the west later, and turning increasingly blustery, particularly around exposed coasts and hills.
Blustery on Tuesday with spells of rain moving eastwards.
Remaining rather unsettled on Wednesday with showers.

5 Day Forecast (Thursday 9th to Tuesday 14th May 2024).

Friday and Saturday will be mostly dry with plenty of warm sunshine and just a few light showers at times. Dry overnight with clear periods.
Sunday will have a bright start however showers will develop in the afternoon. Showers possibly turning heavy at times with the risk of isolated lightning strikes, though confidence is low at this time. Showers will ease to leave a largely dry night, although outbreaks of rain will move in from the south towards first light.
Monday will then be an unsettled day with spells of rain moving in from the west for most of the day.

5 Day Forecast (Friday 5th to Wednesday 10th April 2024).

Bright spells today with showers, these heavier and more frequent this morning before gradually dying away this afternoon. A blustery day with southwesterly gusts of 40-50mph by late morning. Cloudy this evening and through the night with outbreaks of rain moving in from the southwest, turning showery later on. Becoming drier during the early hours of Saturday morning. Winds will turn more southerly and ease a little into tonight.

Variable cloud tomorrow with showers moving in from the west, these heavier and more frequent during late afternoon and evening.
Blustery throughout the day and overnight, with southwesterly gusts of 40-50mph expected though easing Saturday night.

It will remain similarly windy through Sunday daytime, with further showers moving in from the southwest, before a drier night with winds easing.
More overcast on Monday and Tuesday, with longer spells of showery rain likely to move in from the south and west, along with the chance of some further blustery spells.
However, it looks to turn drier by Tuesday night with winds also beginning to ease.

5 Day Forecast (Thursday 28th March to Tuesday 2nd April 2024)

Rain clearing to the north first thing this morning will see drier and brighter conditions develop for a time. However, cloud and rain looks to return from the south later in the morning. Rain will be showery in nature, with heavy downpours expected, potentially turning thundery. South-westerly winds will develop later. Turning drier and calmer during the first part of the evening, becoming chilly. Later in the night however, showers look to move in again.

The theme of sunshine and sharp showers will develop on Friday and through the weekend. Some of these showers have the potential to turn a little thundery resulting in a few lightning strikes, especially on Friday.
Drier during the nights as most of the showers fade away, with clear periods likely and perhaps a touch of frost on Friday night. Blustery on Friday too.
By Monday, there is a chance of a more substantial area of rain moving in from the south.

5 Day Forecast (Tuesday 6th to Sunday 11th February 2024).

Cloudy with patchy areas of light rain and drizzle this morning with a brisk south-westerly wind. Heavy showers arriving by late morning though becoming dry by late evening. Winds easing through the evening. Turning cold later with a chance of frost overnight.

A dry, bright, and cold beginning to Wednesday, before cloud starts to form from the west during the afternoon. Mostly cloudy skies through the evening and overnight. A patchy frost is expected overnight. Overnight, a band of heavy rain is expected to push in from the south-west. Mostly rain to begin with though some snow is expected at higher altitudes. Chance of widespread snow later on.

Cloudy on Thursday, with sleet/snow continuing to spread through mid-afternoon. A milder airmass is expected to gradually move in from the south through the day, but snow is expected to continue to fall through at least early afternoon, with the risk of significant accumulation in places.
After a brief lull, a further area of heavy and persistent precipitation will spread in from the south during the evening and overnight. Snow may continue for a time during the evening, before a switch to rain is expected in the course of the night.

Thursday will see gusty easterly winds developing with gusts of 50-55 mph possible.

Milder air continues Friday, with scattered rain showers bringing a local risk of high rainfall totals. Gusty easterly winds will also continue for a time, decreasing later.

Confidence in forecast details for Saturday is relatively low due to uncertainty in the development of low pressure across the country, but scattered showers are currently expected to continue.

5 Day Forecast (Thursday 25th to Tuesday 30th January 2024).

Cloudy today with showers longer spells of rain, turning heavy during the afternoon. A breezy day, with southwesterly gusts of 40-45 mph possible. Showers continuing for much of the evening, with a band of heavy rain expected to move in from the west during the middle of the night.

Winds will pick up into tonight with westerly gusts during the early hours. Rain will clear to the east during the latter part of the night, leaving lengthy clear periods behind with just a few odd showers.

Dry with plenty of sunshine tomorrow.
Breezy, especially during the morning. Staying mostly dry through the evening and overnight.

Largely dry with bright spells on Saturday, before a cloudier night with the chance of some patchy light drizzle.

Conditions becoming more more uncertain into Sunday and Monday, but it will generally stay cloudy with some patchy light rain likely at times.

Expect a band of heavier rain to move in from the west during Sunday night but clearing by Monday morning to largely dry Monday though patchy showers can’t be ruled out.

5 Day Forecast (Saturday 20th to Thursday 25th January 2024).

This morning will have a cloudy start with patchy outbreaks of rain moving in from the west.
Rain will ease slightly in the late afternoon before another band of heavy rain moves in during the evening. Rain will clear to the east during the early hours of the morning to leave clear spells and scattered showers.
A blustery day with south-westerly to southerly winds, increasing during the evening and overnight.

Sunday will be a very windy and wet day as Storm Isha moves in from the west during the evening and overnight. It will be a mostly cloudy day with a few scattered showers. Through the evening and overnight, a band of heavy and persistent rain will move in.
A windy start to the day with south-westerly winds which will strengthen through the afternoon. Towards dawn, the winds will start to ease.

Monday will see a mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers moving in from the west during the day. Showers will ease during the evening and overnight, but it will turn cloudier towards dawn with another area of rain approaching from the west.

Tuesday sees the potential of another deep area of low pressure to move to the north-east of the UK, bringing a further spell of wet and windy weather, though confidence in the exact forecast is low at this stage.

5 Day Forecast (Tuesday 5th to Sunday 10th December 2023).

Mostly cloudy and wet today with outbreaks of light rain. Turning drier later this afternoon with some bright spells. Overnight will be dry with clear spells with a widespread frost before cloud builds from the west later on. A few patches of freezing fog to be expected.

Wednesday will be dry and cloudy before a band of heavy rain moves in from the west during the evening and overnight along with gusting southerly winds.

Thursday will be another wet and windy day with spells of rain, heavy at times. There will be strong southerly winds during the day, though easing over night.

Staying wet and windy on Friday with rain moving in from the west. Turning drier overnight with clear spells and the occasional shower.

Saturday will see another band of rain move in from the west, though clearing to leave a dry night with clear spells.

5 Day Forecast (Friday 16th to Wednesday 21st June 2023).

Largely dry with a fine start this morning, but turning cloudy later this morning and through the course of the afternoon with a risk of scattered showers. Lightning strikes and hail are also possible. The continued threat of heavy showers this evening and tonight with variable amounts of cloud.
Heavy showers and thunderstorms developing through tomorrow morning and into the afternoon with frequent lightning, hail and gusty winds possible. Showers will tend to ease through the evening and overnight, although a few remain possible.
Very warm and humid on Sunday with scattered heavy showers and thunderstorms, these becoming increasingly widespread during the afternoon and perhaps merging to give some longer spells of heavy thundery rain. Showers should very gradually ease and clear to the north and east through the evening and overnight leaving mostly dry conditions.
Sunny spells and scattered heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected on Monday and Tuesday, heavy in places. Feeling very warm and humid throughout.

5 Day Forecast (Saturday 10th to Thursday 15th June 2023).

Lots of dry and fine weather this afternoon with warm sunny spells. Showers will start to develop later this afternoon and could develop into thunderstorms. Storms will become heavy, as a result, some localized surface flooding and runoff is possible where the heaviest of the storms form. There will also be frequent lightning strikes, some of which will be cloud to ground. Not all areas will see the showers, and where it does stay mostly dry, temperatures are expected to reach into the high 20s. Storms continuing through the evening, before a mostly dry night with clear breaks, though the risk of further thunderstorms will remain.

Sunday and Monday are also expected to see the risk of thunderstorms developing during the daytime, with some heavy downpours bringing the risk of surface flooding and runoff as well as frequent lightning.

Tuesday and Wednesday are currently looking predominantly dry with lots of sunshine during the day and clear spells overnight.
