This Sat Aug 31 I am excited and honored to be closing out the Monroeville Jazz Festival at Tall Trees Amphitheater with my trio of James Johnson III and Clifford Barnes. We hit 6:30-8p but will be in great company all day with friends and heavies Theron Brown, Dennis Garner, Norside Organ Trio and Roger Barbour! Starting at noon and free!

Also I’ll have some advance CD copies of my next record with Label Jazzbook Records avail!

Les sons, les fréquences, les notes, les rythmes ressentis à partir d’une musique
comme celle d’Ahmad Jamal et de la mélodie chantée par l’univers, puissant chant magnétique, se sont traduits sur le papier par des mots .
Rédigés de façon intuitive, produits avec une écriture spontanée, ils représentent l’énergie de cette musique. On pourrait même parler de poésie quantique, elle-même constituée de glissements et de brisures rythmiques dévoilant cet océan de potentialités et de bifurcations entre plusieurs mondes.
La poésie recherche cette énergie de la parole.

Le lancement de la future Fondation We Do Sync dont nous allons mettre en place se fera le 19 juillet à la soirée de Gala organisée par la fondation Better World Fund à L'Astrada (EPCC) Marciac et le festival Jazz In Marciac.
L'objectif de WDS est d'apporter un soutien artistique et financier pour l'aide à la création, production, résidence, conseil, formation pour la Musique Classique Américaine " JAZZ " toute l'année à travers le Monde.
