À PROPOS DU FILM: Tourné au début des années 1970, Lady Frankenstein compte parmi les adaptations les plus déviantes du roman de Mary Shelley. Porté par un casting international de haute volée, avec Joseph Cotten (Baron vampire), Paul Müller (Les Nuits de Dracula) et Rosalba Neri (À la recherche du plaisir) dans le rôle-titre, le film fut réalisé par Mel Welles, essentiellement connu pour sa carrière d’acteur (La Petite Boutique des horreurs).
Invisible en France depuis de nombreuses années, Lady Frankenstein vous est enfin proposé dans sa version intégrale en haute définition.

Une petite pensée pour l'acteur Kenneth Tsang qui vient de nous quitter à l'âge de 87 ans. 😢

"Kenneth Tsang, pilier de « l’âge d’or » du cinéma cantonais, a été retrouvé mort mercredi 27 avril 2022 dans une chambre d’hôtel de quarantaine à Hong Kong, après avoir passé un séjour à l’étranger.

il a commencé à jouer sérieusement dans les années 1960, ses rôles les plus mémorables ont été interprétés pendant la période d’or du cinéma de Hong Kong, dans les années 1980 et 1990, dans des films tels que The Killer, Supercop, Peking Opera Blues et Once A Thief.

Il a également été une des rares stars hongkongaises de cette époque à intégrer Hollywood en jouant des seconds rôles, principalement des méchants, dans des films comme The Replacement Killers, Die Another Day – un film James Bond – Anna and the King et Mémoires d’une Geisha."

Notre collaborateur Gilles Ermia - eh oui, le fameux IndianaGilles a écrit un livre avec Geneviève Koevoets, l'épouse de Philippe Hersent. Elle nous avait fait partagé quelques anecdotes et souvenirs du tournage de LA MURAILLE DE FEU pour notre édition, dans lequel jouait son mari. Elle-même y avait participé de diverses manières. Dans cet ouvrage, Geneviève nous fait partager une partie de sa vie et de sa carrière, nageant allègrement dans les eaux du Cinéma Bis italien, mais pas que.
