Chrome Sweet Chrome brings together various printed typographic objects produced by Image Format since 2018: the self-initiated poster series Playlist, which pays tribute to the tracks that soundtrack the studio’s daily life, as well as several type specimens published by Quintal to accompany the release of typefaces designed by Johan and Quentin.

Image Format is a visual creation and type design studio founded by Quentin Berthelot and Johan Mossé, whose name encapsulates their approach: crafting singular images within the specific framework defined by each project. Typography lies at the heart of their creative process. From open-ended experimentation to the design of full type families, Image Format explores the potential of letterforms with honesty and generosity.

🥨🍞 JOURNÉE MONDIALE DU PAIN / WORLD BREAD DAY 🥖🥯

To celebrate, we’re sharing a sneak peek of .rocci’s new paintings — they’ll be part of our next group exhibition at the bookstore-gallery, all about bakeries and sweet memories.

Hugo Rocci (1989–) is a French artist and painter based in Amsterdam. His work focuses on collecting everyday objects and making printed books with .bleu — a risograph/screen print studio, bookstore, and publisher in Amsterdam.

Some Things Last a Long Time

Poster imagined and self-initiated by and , composed using the typeface Alpes, designed by Image Format and soon to be released by Sharp Type.

Inspired by the song Some Things Last a Long Time by Daniel Johnston, this poster reveals and contrasts the frozen light of printed colors with the fleeting nature of a sketched flower.
It is part of the Playlist series.

Record take us back to a time when music was transmitted over cables and collected on shelves, with two different families: Record Laser, with its sharp, unapologetically retro-futuristic aesthetic, evokes the recording studio and music production machines, while Record Disc, softer and more refined, takes us back to the golden age of hi-fi equipment.

[Closing Event] Habitat 1 by François de Jonge & Jul Quanouai 🪾🐜

⏱️ Thursday, September 25th, 6pm–9pm

Habitat 1 is a delicate and intuitive collaboration, where form, drawing, and installation intertwine. It’s an experimental zone where François de Jonge embeds plant life into mechanical structures, and a terrain of exploration where Jul Quanouai’s sketched creatures infiltrate, probe, parasitize, and perhaps even hybridize with the manufactured artifacts of human industry. The exhibition gives shape to a shared bio-fantasy between De Jonge and Quanouai. In the best of worlds, Habitat 1 may well be our future. In the worst of worlds… it might be, too.

Habitat 1 est une collaboration subtile et sensible autour des formes, du dessin et de l’installation. C’est une zone expérimentale où François de Jonge implante du végétal dans des machines et un lieu d’exploration où les bestioles dessinées par Jul Quanouai s’infiltrent, explorent, parasitent, et peut-être même s’hybrident avec les produits manufacturés par les humains. L’exposition incarne du biofantasme partagé entre De Jonge et Quanouai. Dans le meilleur des cas, Habitat 1 est notre avenir à tous. Dans le pire des cas aussi.

Between four busy days at the fair, we wandered through the streets of New York and discovered some truly inspiring places around risography (like 🩷) as well as wonderful independent bookstores, full of gems!! We came back with our suitcases (far too) full 📘📗📒📙📕
