We had a fun family day planned at the beautiful Hämeenlinna Castle—a perfect place to explore history, spend time together, and of course, sneak in some drone flying! But as you'd expect, family time and my drone hobby don’t always go hand in hand. With a tight schedule, my son repeatedly saying ‘Papa, can we go now?’ and my girlfriend starting to get a bit frustrated, things quickly took a turn.
The mission: get the drone up, capture some great shots, and not keep anyone waiting too long. Sounds easy, right? With just one battery, I had just enough time for a single flight. The perfect moment came when a boat sailed by, and I tracked it beautifully with the drone... until I realized I had forgotten to hit ‘record’! To top it off, my son decided it was the perfect time to trip and scrape his knee. Classic dad moment, right?
Luckily, I managed to fix some of those imperfect moments with a bit of creative editing... but not all of them! So, here’s what I did manage to capture. A chaotic day, but hey—it’s those imperfect moments that make it all the more memorable!
