There are nearly 40 species of edible wild berries growing in Finland’s forests, peatlands and swamps.

Pulkkilanharju – Finland's most beautiful scenic road

From Vääksi you can take Finland's most beautiful scenic road to the breathtakingly beautiful Pulkkilanharju. Pulkkilanharju, which runs across Päijänne and is almost nine kilometers long, consists of ridge islands and underwater ridge ridges and is part of a nationally valuable landscape area.

The elongated islands of a narrow ridge shaped by the ice age are connected by three bridges: the embanked section of Pulkkilansalmi, the suspension bridge of Karisalmi and the beautiful arched bridge of Käkisalmi.
