Building a nice all tube stereo preamp with a simple eq section for a bit of signalprocessing. This will do good in saturating the signal in my upcoming studio in Evijärvi, Finland. Practising a bit my soldering skills. Big thanks to the excellent service and for lightening up my day with this kit. I am a very pleased customer of yours!

A very nice band by the name of Ayahuasca () playing latin music at Culture Club, After Eight, Jakobstad. It would be a dream to record and mix a band like this… 😍 I personally envoyed the brass section of the band givning it a really nice flavor. The best of luck to the guys in the band!

Soundproofing and isolating for warmth with double layers of isolation wool and plasterboards. The environment is meant to be kept cosy with possibilities to record some music in a treated space.

A nice portable studio rig in a bag containing SSL 12 usb audio interface together with MOTU 8pre for eight more mic preamplifiers besides the four included in the SSL. Ready for some remote location recordings

Started a small project in sounddesign and building my own analog of modular design. A powersupply to be built for powering up to twelve units. Still waiting for a eurorack ordered from Germany. It should arrive on Friday.

A nice channelstrip was cleaned up and put in a ”rackbag”. The Focusrite Liquid Channel can through convolution technology model 40 classic preamps and compressors. A nice piece to have in the studio or with you on the road.

Tomorrow podcast production of ours will continue in Helsinki. I will catch the early morning train there to meet this man, our host, good Jonas .fi and Sebastian Troberg, our photographer. Our guest of honor will be Boris Östman from Odd Fellow organization.

I am going through some gear that I aquired over the years. A nice piece, the SSL x rack eq that I found really cheap compared to what it usually was sold for. Sort of a audioengineer’s dream the SSL. This will be perfect in the studio that is being built. I just need to buy a rack that contains the power supply to it.

A Wurlitzer upright piano was bought today from a family in Kokkola and moved to the upcoming studio premises. This has belonged in the begining to a teacher in Perho northern Finland. Now it is property of Gold Cove Hill Studios. As starters you can follow the advances in building a studio. At the moment an audio mission for us is to record the podcast of Paradoxal Psykologik. This is mostly done in Helsinki and Suomenlinna fortress. The first episode of this podcast will be published within the month of May 2022.
