Porvoon Kipinän päätoimittaja Aki Cederberg kirjoittaa:
Osallistuin eilen kansanperinnettä käsittelevän tv-sarjan kuvauksiin Suomalaisen Kirjallisuuden Seuran arkiston ”Kaikkein pyhimmässä”, kokoelmahuoneessa, jossa säilytetään vanhimpia käsikirjoituksia.
Keskustelimme henkisestä perinteestä nykypäivänä, tietäjyydestä, rituaaleista ja maskuliinisuudesta.
Lauloin huoneessa myös kanteleen säestyksellä loitsun, ympäröivän perinteen voimasanat heräsivät henkiin.
Riittejä suorittaessani ja loitsutessani koen laulavani perinteen antamalla, iäisellä “suuremmalla suulla”.

Yesterday, I took part in the filming of a new series about Finnic folk tradition in the ”holiest of holies”, the inner sanctum of the Finnish Literature Society, where the oldest manuscripts of the tradition are kept.
We talked of tietäjä-sages, rituals, spirituality and masculinity, as well as about the meaning of such things in the modern world.
I also sang a loitsu-spell in the room, giving voice to the words of power of the tradition surrounding me.
When I conduct rites and sing runo-songs, I am singing with the ”greater mouth” of the tradition.
I have written about these northern and Finnic rituals in my book Holy Europe, as well as on my website.
The series will be released in spring, 2026.
