Ethiopian Human Rights Commission
ኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ «ሰብዓዊ መብት» በሚል ስም ገለልተኛ ነኝ ብሎ ተቋቁሞ በተደጋጋሚ ሙስሊሞች ላይ ለሚፈጸም ጥቃት ደንታ የሌለው ተቋም አይቼ አላውቅም። ዳንዔል በቀለ (ዶ/ር) የሚመራው ኢሰመኮ የኢትዮጵያውያን ሙስሊሞችን "ኢትዮጵያዊ" መሆናቸውን አምኖ መቀበል የተሳነው፤ በአጼው ዘመን ላይ ተከንችሮ የቀረ ተቋም ይመስለኛል። ይህ መርጦ አልቃሽ የሆነ ተቋም ለአንድ እምነትና ለአንድ ብሄር ብቻ እንጂ ለሙስሊሙ እንደማይጨነቅ በተደጋጋሚ ታዝቢያለሁ። ወይ ይፍረስ፣ ወይ አመራር ተቀይሮ ኃላፊነቱን ይወጣ።
The silence of the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) on the recent killings of Muslims in Bahir Dar, Enfranz, and Gonder is deafening. It's disheartening to witness the continued silence of the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission in the face of repeated violence and discrimination against Muslims. Despite our polite appeals for action, they have failed to address the systemic biases that perpetuate injustice. This selective silence speaks volumes about their priorities and raises serious questions about their commitment to human rights for all.
Is protecting ALL Ethiopians, regardless of religion, not their core function? Where is the outrage? Where is the investigation? The EHRC's continued silence is a betrayal of its mandate and a slap in the face to the victims and their families@ #
