About us

Addis Powerhouse is a monthly digital newsletter that aims to create awareness among the Ethiopian community about feminist issues. The general public has a misconception about feminism and this has created a negative aura around anyone that identifies as a feminist. The acceptance of women’s rights movements and organizations is also overshadowed by this same negative attitude. We want to change the public perception and show people the true nature of feminism by bringing the voices of Ethiopian Feminists forward and creating a dialog platform for people to understand the need for feminism.
