Our website www.islandconnections.eu and this Facebook site grew out of a free English language fortnightly newspaper for and about the Canary Islands. All our staff are at least bilingual, which means that we have direct access to breaking news. Both the web and Facebook mean that we can bring news more rapidly to our readers and in particular the latter means we can enter into a dialogue that is
n't always posible with the printed media. We are also able to cover topics that may not be suitable for a fornightly publication.
