Dear all!! August is definitely the laziest month of the year and we hope that you're all having a great summer! But music never stops at the Dead Wax and we'd like to tell you what's coming up next in September. We are most thrilled to bring you another great little gem from the 80s, an almost unknown minimal synth / guitar pop band from Wales called FATAL GIFT.
They put out a very sought after 7" in 1984 and a couple of promo cassettes that cannot be considered as releases as no copies were actually ever available to the public. In the coming days and weeks we'll be posting some more songs out of the great album that we have gathered with their recorded output from 1983 to 1985. SO DEAR SO CHEAP will be out for pre-order at the end of August, stay tuned and enjoy this very elegant band!

Dear all!! So excited about what’s coming next from Dead Wax Records!! What can we say about this awesome band, so beloved particularly here in Spain, THE SNAKE CORPS!! It is for us such a great honour to FINALLY bring you their third album from 1991 ON VINYL FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!! A little background info, it was originally intended to see the light in 1991 through Midnight Music, their former label, it even reached the test pressing status under the title SPICE (four years later re-used for a cd compilation) but Midnight folded and the album remained unreleased until 1995 when it was renamed as 3rd Cup and self-released on cd format only. It was high time that this awesome album would be available on vinyl and we couldn’t be happier with it. We have expanded the original album with two tracks of the same sessions that did appear on the SOME OTHER TIME 12”, the final Midnight Music release by THE SNAKE CORPS. Stay tuned for more songs on this album and the pre-order opening in the coming weeks!

¡¡Queridos todos!! ¡¡Madre mía lo siguiente de Dead Wax Records!! Qué podemos decir de esta increíble banda, tan querida particularmente aquí en España, THE SNAKE CORPS. ¡Es para nosotros un gran honor traeros POR FIN su tercer álbum de 1991 EN VINILO POR PRIMERA VEZ! Un poco de información al respecto; originalmente estaba destinado a ver la luz en 1991 a través de Midnight Music, su antiguo sello, incluso se llegó a hacer test pressing del vinilo bajo el título SPICE (título que se reutilizó para una posterior recopilación en cd), pero Midnight echó el cierre y el álbum permaneció inédito hasta 1995, cuando fue rebautizado como 3rd Cup y autoeditado por la banda sólo en formato cd. Ya era hora de que este impresionante disco estuviera disponible en vinilo y no podríamos estar más contentos con ello. Hemos ampliado el álbum original con dos temas de las mismas sesiones que aparecieron en el 12” SOME OTHER TIME, el último lanzamiento de la banda con Midnight Music. ¡Estad atentos para conocer más canciones de este álbum y para la apertura del pre-order en las próximas semanas!
