I recently had the pleasure of meeting Peter Maguwu, founder of @antipoachingk9 at his kennels and training facility on the outskirts of Harare to learn more about his vision. As you will hear Peter is passionate in his quest to combat poaching, which has seen a surge in recent years, by deploying mobile anti poaching units as and where they are needed. The cost of maintaining, training, accommodating and deploying these teams is high and APK9 needs substantial funding. From my stay in Vic Falls and where the amazingly patient @sharileet left me to return home having taken some wonderful footage, the better ones here!😊. Apart from the Falls, the incredible architecture and engineering, clearly evident. For ambience and good food The @goatvicfalls is a must, as is @the_three_monkeys_vic_falls and if pastries and wonderful doughy delights are your thing you have to stop in @simbasartisanbakery - For where to stay at a very reasonable price and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and if you like meeting a variety of interesting people I can really recommend @victoriafallsbackpackers where the lovely Olí and Blessing and team will make your stay perfect!🙏🏼👏. Thank you Vic Falls for a great stay - I’ll be back to see the Falls with more water - though it wasn’t as dry as I expected and it is always quite dry this time of year I’ve been told! 💕

Hi all from Victoria Falls😊 We arrived here a couple of days ago, Hari having had a starter motor repair in Kasane care of the great vehicle maintence team @chobesafarilodge and Nathan🙏🏼🙏🏼. First night it poured so we grabbed a bite to eat in town.(we being Shari Thompson a photographer/videographer from Cape Town, along for 2/3 weeks to document some of my trip and improve my videos🤣👍🏻). We jumped back into Hari to go back to Backpackers where we’d checked into camp and disaster struck. Hari was going nowhere. I gave the starter a hopeful but doubtful knock to no avail. So taxi it was and fortunately Backpackers had a room😅. Next morning we’d have to make a plan! And in the morning we’d did! Stay tuned for next post as we have a special request as a result of my meeting Doubt😊and for a very worthy cause!! Oh and contrary to my comment on the video, Nathan DID DO A GREAT JOB with the starter motor - the brushes were finished, he wouldn’t have expected the actual outcome! 😊👍🏻🙏🏼 Nathan!

Diagnosing Hari

Lovely and quiet at IHaHa Campsite in the Chobe National Park. Time now to get on and, hopefully soon, after sorting Hari the Landy out, on to #zimbabwe and to visit and lend support to @painted_dog_conservation and @antipoachingk9 while there.
